The White House Bed

One night, Obama is tossing restlessly in his White House bed. He awakens to see George Washington standing by him. Barak asks him, “George, what’s the best thing I can do to help the country?”

“Set an honest and honorable example, just as I did,” Washington advises, then fades away.

The next night, Obama is astir again, and sees the ghost of Thomas Jefferson moving through the darkened bedroom.Obama calls out, “Tom, please! What is the best thing I could do to help the country?”

“Respect the Constitution, like I did,” Jefferson advises, and dims from sight.

Barack still isn’t sleeping well the third night when he sees yet another figure moving in the shadows. It is Abraham Lincoln’s ghost. “Abe, what is the best thing I can do right now, to help the country?” Obama pleads.

Abe replies, “Go see a play.”

And NO, I’m not advocating any harm whatsoever to the man/child!  So cool yer jets!

White House to Announce ‘Accommodation’ for Religious Organizations on Contraception Rule

With the White House under fire for its new rule requiring employers including religious organizations to offer health insurance that fully covers birth control coverage, ABC News has learned that later today the White House — possibly President Obama himself — will likely announce an attempt to accommodate these religious groups.

The move, based on state models, will almost certainly not satisfy bishops and other religious leaders since it will preserve the goal of women employees having their birth control fully covered by health insurance.

Sources say it will be respectful of religious beliefs but will not back off from that goal, which many religious leaders oppose since birth control is in violation of their religious beliefs.

Iran Strikes: Are You With or Against Israel?
by Gadi Adelman

Israel says time is running out and Leon Panetta says Israel could attack Iran as early as April. As all this unfolds the Obama administration cautions our greatest ally Israel rather than Iran.

Just days after 9/11 on September 13, 2001, then-Senator Hillary Clinton stated during an interview on the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather,

“Every nation has to either be with us, or against us.  Those who harbor terrorists, or who finance them, are going to pay a price.”

President George W. Bush elaborated those words on September 20, 2001; during an address to a joint session of Congress,

“Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.”

Bush went a little further and in simple terms explained what he meant,

“They want to overthrow existing governments in many Muslim countries, such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. They want to drive Israel out of the Middle East. They want to drive Christians and Jews out of vast regions of Asia and Africa.”

During his State of the Union address on January 29, 2002, Bush named terrorist groups,

“Our military has put the terror training camps of Afghanistan out of business, yet camps still exist in at least a dozen countries. A terrorist underworld — including groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Jaish-i-Mohammed — operates in remote jungles and deserts, and hides in the centers of large cities.”

Three out of four of the groups he named, Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad all have one thing in common. They are all funded, supplied and trained by Iran.

Read the rest here.

Failure to recognize the danger that Iran poses to both Israel and the United States is one of those things that Obama and his administration are quite good at, either by design, or total ignorance.  I don’t think it’s ignorance.  He professes to be a ‘Christian’, but all of his actions are anti-Christian.  True Christians will stand WITH Israel against her enemies, and what greater enemy than one who has declared the intent to totally destroy her.

From the NKJV:

Exodus 23:30-33
30 Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land.
31 And I will set your bounds from the Red Sea to the sea, Philistia, and from the desert to the River. For I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.
32 You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
33 They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”

From The Torah:

Exodus 23:30-33
30 I will drive them out before you little by little, until you have increased and possess the land
31 I will set your borders from the Sea of Reeds to the Sea of Philistia and from the wilderness to the Euphrates; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hands, and you will drive them out before you.
32 You shall make no covenant with them and their gods.
33 They shall not remain in your land, lest they cause you to sin against Me; for you serve their gods – and it will prove a snare to you.

Now, I won’t swear to it, but I’m fairly sure this is an accurate description of the land given to the Hebrews. I’m pretty sure the Arabs know this, but don’t much like the idea. There are a lot of squatters in land that was given to them, way back when. The Sea of Philistia, if I’m not mistaken, is what we call the Mediterranean. The Sea of Reeds, well, that would be the Red Sea as stated in the Old Testament.

Even back then, it really wasn’t a huge plot of land, but compared to what they have today, well, it was HUGE.

All Israel wants is to live in peace, to protect her people, and defend herself against her enemies. I don’t think that is asking too much.  She is surrounded by enemiesLittle Big Horn comes to mind.

As a Christian nation, we are obliged to stand with her, not with her enemies. Thanks to Obama and his cronies, liberals who have done their best to remove God from all aspects of our lives, we are no longer a blessed nation. The current government has turned its back on our closet ally in the area. Unless we turn our faces back to God, we will be a nation ‘gone under’.  Israel doesn’t need our permission to do a darn thing.  She doesn’t need the backing of the United Nations.  She has the backing of a MUCH greater Power!

Raining on the Republican’s Parade
by J. D. Longstreet

There is an article making the rounds on the Internet that explains why Obama will be reelected regardless of who the Republican nominee is and regardless of the economic situation the US may find itself in at election time in November.

The article had a very prestigious economist’s name attached to it as the author, but that turned out to be false.

I received it a few days ago as a “forwarded” e-mail. Needless to say, when its contents struck a cord with me, I immediately began to investigate to see if I could learn who, in fact, had written it. All I was able to ascertain was that, indeed, the economist credited with having written it, did not.

Now, here’s the problem. I happen to agree with a good deal of the article’s premise… that Obama will be reelected. I do not agree that he will win by a large margin, but I do believe he will win, nevertheless.

Here’s some of the article. Again I do not know who wrote it. If I did, and could prove it, I would certainly make the proper attribution. So, consider the author unknown.

Thieving Money

6 February 2012, 11:57 am. No Comments. Filed under Economy, Faith, Massive Stupidity, Opinion, Socialism, Taxes, The ONE.

Yesterday, this little story was in our church’s bulletin, and it got me to thinking.  I have a tendency to associate things with current events, and this is no different.

A twelve-year-old member of the church I pastor recently left a five dollar bill on my desk with a note that read, “I have my thieving money”, along with her signature.  I couldn’t figure out what she meant.  Had she stolen money she was now returning?

When I saw the girl’s father the next Sunday, I mentioned the money and note and asked if he could tell me what she meant.  With no hesitation, he said that it was her tithe.  She obviously had misspelled tithing.

As I thought about the misspelling, I realized that for those who do not tithe, they really do have a stash of “thieving” money, for as the Bible suggest, the one who refuses to tithe is stealing from God.

Now, what struck me in the scope of current events?  Well, that would be the complete misunderstanding of Barack Hussein Obama of scripture!

“For me as a Christian, it also coincides with Jesus’s teaching that for unto whom much is given, much shall be required,” Obama said, quoting the Gospel of Luke.

Evidently, he doesn’t understand that the command is for the individual to give.  Forced giving is not a joy, it is a burden.  To give freely of yourself is the joy that the Bible is relating, not the theft by the government in the form of taxes. It is the church’s duty to care for the destitute, the infirm, the lost, NOT the government! I suppose sitting in Jeremiah Wright’s church for all those years, it’s understandable that he doesn’t know the true meaning of Scripture. I suggest we pray that his eyes will be opened, that he will take the blinders of socialism off, and truly see!

Labor Market Contracts by 1.2 Million People, Zero Hedge Reports

The labor market contracted by 1.2 million people in a month, according to research from Zero Hedge, citing Bureau of Labor Statistics data.

The government reports that the unemployment rate fell to 8.3 percent in January from 8.5 percent in December as the economy has added a net 243,000 nonfarm payrolls to the economy.

However, those who quit looking for work aren’t counted as part of the total labor force, which also isn’t accurately reflecting population growth, which basically allowed the government to yank 1.2 million out of the labor force in January.

Wouldn’t it be nice if this administration would just tell the truth for a change? I know…. I’m asking the impossible!  What are the REAL numbers?  They can tell us the unemployment rate has dropped to 8.3%, but that doesn’t make it true.  How about counting ALL the people who are out of work, who have given up because there are no jobs in their field, and are now having to take government aid?  But then, isn’t that what this administration wants?  As many people dependent on the government as possible.  The ruinous policies of the Obama administration has sunk this country so far into debt, in all likelihood, no matter who wins in 2012, the ability to reverse the damage will be almost impossible in one term.  However, giving Obama and his machine a second ‘chance’, will do even MORE damage!

Yep, I watched the debate.  I don’t know why they don’t just call ‘em the Mitt and Newt show!  Those two made total asses of themselves, bickering like kids on the playground, egged on by the supposed ‘debate moderator’, Wolf Blitzer.  Jiminy crickets!  Santorum, on the other hand, appeared to be the only grown up on the stage, followed by….believe it or not….Ron Paul. Sadly, Dr Paul is still a fruitcake on foreign policy, but he did have some great one liners.  :D

Personally, I think both Gringrich and Romney have forgotten the purpose of having a primary…and that is to find the best candidate who can mop the floor with the pretender in chief, and do the utmost to save this country!  It’s not all about them.  It’s about our nation, and I, for one, am pretty fed up with their antics!  I am losing what respect I had for both of them.   They talk about leadership, and yet behave like spoiled children!  We already have a spoiled brat in the White House!  We damn sure don’t need another one!  My suggestion to both of them….well, ALL four of ‘em,but especially those two…. stop attacking each other, and go after the real target…. the Marxist SOB!   I’m fairly sure I’m not the only one who is fed up with their theatrics!

“First of all, I don’t put people on food stamps. People become eligible for food stamps. Second of all, the initial expansion of food-stamp eligibility happened under my Republican predecessor, not under me. Number three, when you have a disastrous economic crash that results in 8 million people losing their jobs, more people are going to need more support from government.”

Via Breitbart.tv.

People become eligible because of HIS policies!  Please look closely at this chart.  How this clown can even make the claims he does, is beyond me.  The man/child has no business being in the White House.  He had no business holding ANY public office.  He has NO clue what works, and what doesn’t.  He does NOT need another four years to finish the job.  His “job” is nothing more than complete destruction of our country! I MIGHT have a little bit of respect for the kid if he ever….EVER….took responsibility for his own actions. Since he won’t…..

The Food Stamp President

Like it or not, Newt Gingrich is right. Barack Obama IS ‘The Food Stamp President’. If, as he claims, our economy is SO much better, why are there so many people depending on the government for a hand out? Hmmm…???? Because Obama flat out lies, that’s why!  Those who are disputing the statement aren’t looking at the numbers.  And as we all know…numbers don’t lie.  They can be manipulated, but they don’t lie!  And FYI….the color of the recipients skin is totally irrelevant! The fact that AMERICANS have been pushed into poverty by Obama’s policies IS!

Finally, as for the question of race — which has ignited some of the backlash against Gingrich — about 34 percent of beneficiaries are white, 22 percent are black, 17 percent Hispanic, 7 percent Asian or Native American, and 20 percent “race unknown.” (source)

My Nickel’s Worth On The SOTU

25 January 2012, 12:30 pm. 5 Comments. Filed under Opinion, Politics, The ONE.

I did not watch the State of the Union address. I had no intention of spending my time, listening to a man/child who so desperately wants to destroy this country. He’s made a good start, and if allowed to continue for another four years, we will no longer be the United States of America. We will become even more divided, and likely, there will be a very uncivil war, whether of words, or blood, no one knows….yet. But this morning, I decided I would read his speech. BIG mistake! I was already in a rather pissy mood, due to a cat incident at 6am, finding a bug that had no business being in my home, and having my blog load so bloomin’ slow, I was about to toss the computer across the room. The Mr wouldn’t have been too happy about that as it’s not even a year old yet. :?

I’ll discuss just a few items that jumped out at me.

Last month, I went to Andrews Air Force Base and welcomed home some of our last troops to serve in Iraq. Together, we offered a final, proud salute to the colors under which more than a million of our fellow citizens fought — and several thousand gave their lives.

What I find so amazing about this is the FACT that the man can’t stand the military. Many of his comments over the past 3 LONG years prove this to me, and many others. He has no pride in those colors, or the fine men and women who serve under them. His apology tour in his first year bears this out. A person who has pride doesn’t go to the countries of our ‘enemies’ and apologize for OUR treasure being spend on THEIR safety and well being. His continued remarks about our ‘greatness’ goes on in the same vein.

Let’s remember how we got here. Long before the recession, jobs and manufacturing began leaving our shores. Technology made businesses more efficient, but also made some jobs obsolete. Folks at the top saw their incomes rise like never before, but most hardworking Americans struggled with costs that were growing, paychecks that weren’t, and personal debt that kept piling up.

It is quite apparent to me that this guy has no idea what caused the ‘recession’. He evidently isn’t aware how business works. That is quite apparent from his continued attempt to fix a problem by making a problem worse. I’ve no doubt, if he had his way, he’d give subsidies to the buggy whip companies. :? Technological advances are not a bad thing, and ATMs are not a culprit. Someone has to build those ATMs, right? That means employing people to make them. Common sense. There are companies that WANT to produce their products in their homeland, but thanks to unreasonable regulations, they wouldn’t stay in business very long. The cost to do business in this country has gone through the roof. If I ran a business, I would certainly look for a place that is more business friendly. The U.S. isn’t that place anymore.

Perhaps he should take a long hard look at his buddies in the unions. Our decline came as the unions demanded more and more from the companies to the point where either they moved their business elsewhere, or completely shut down. A company cannot run without profits. The costs of every thing skyrocketed in the 70s thanks, in great part, to the unions. If you have to pay more for the product to be made and transported, you have no choice but to raise the price. The cradle to grave mentality of the union bosses is one major reason why we’re in the mess we’re in. Add to that, the Democrats failure to take a better look at Fannie and Freddie, and you have a recipe for disaster. The $787 BILLION so called stimulus that was shoved through over the objections of most Republicans created nothing. Oh, it fixed some roads that needed to be fixed, but it also fixed road that didn’t need fixing. Once those jobs were done, what happened? The workers went back on unemployment. Then they decided to make unemployment a career move. More money out of the worker’s pocket to pay for those who can’t, or won’t, find a job. There are many people in this country who actually believe they are entitled to anything and everything their little heart desires.

The state of our Union is getting stronger. And we’ve come too far to turn back now. As long as I’m President, I will work with anyone in this chamber to build on this momentum. But I intend to fight obstruction with action, and I will oppose any effort to return to the very same policies that brought on this economic crisis in the first place.

Well, in reality, no…it is not! It has become extremely divided, thanks in great part, to the obstructionism of the Senate. A Senate, I must add, that is control by the Democrats. The Republican controlled House has passed 30 jobs bills. THIRTY! Not one has the Senate majority leader, Runnin’ Harry Reid brought to a vote. NOT ONE! Who is doing the obstructing? What the Democrats and the Phoney in Chief are doing is continuing the very same policies that brought us to THIS crisis. The American people have no confidence in the ‘leadership’ in Washington, D.C. There is NO leadership to have confidence in! We see children, whining, pointing fingers, taking their ball and going home, while sticking their tongues out at each other. Apparently, they do not know who it is they really work for…. that would be WE, The People.

On the day I took office, our auto industry was on the verge of collapse. Some even said we should let it die. With a million jobs at stake, I refused to let that happen. In exchange for help, we demanded responsibility. We got workers and automakers to settle their differences. We got the industry to retool and restructure. Today, General Motors is back on top as the world’s number-one automaker. (Applause.) Chrysler has grown faster in the U.S. than any major car company. Ford is investing billions in U.S. plants and factories. And together, the entire industry added nearly 160,000 jobs.

And now the American taxpayer is on the hook for billions of dollars, and getting nothing in return for their investment. Most stock holder should be getting dividends. We do not. Yes, you should have let it die. It would have restructured, renegotiated the contracts with the unions, and would have come out better, and stronger than it was before. Government Motors is not better. It is making vehicles that no one wants, and are dangerous to the consumer. Not to mention the expense of pushing said butt ugly vehicles. Once more, the tinkering of the government has created a bigger mess than what would have been if they had kept their fingers out of the pie. It is NOT the job of the federal government (the taxpayers) to prop up any business.

Read the whole thing for yourselves.  Come to your own conclusions.  Look for what he DOESN’T say, which is quite a bit.  My mood is deteriorating, and I might say something I regret…..or not.  :|   I haven’t even mentioned the problem of ObamaCare.  I got a notice yesterday…. my insurance, catastrophic only…no doctor’s visits, etc…. has gone up over $4,000 a year.  FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS!  We can’t afford that!  But then, that is his intent, isn’t it!

There are many responses to be found onlineGovernor Daniels of Indiana gave the official Republican response.  Even the Washington Post has some major issues with The One’s speech.  He is in full campaign mode.  Come to think of it, he’s been in full campaign mode since 1/21/09!

Won’t Be “Tuning In” For More Of His Lies!

State of Dysfunction
The Foundry

Tonight, Americans who tune in to the State of the Union will watch the work of a rhetorical master with a flair for illusion. President Barack Obama will take to the floor of the Capitol in hopes of laying the groundwork for a political debate on his terms–one where he stands on emotional appeals, populism, and class warfare, not the shaky ground of his crumbling record. And looking right back at him will be the U.S. Senate, which has for the past 1,000 days failed to pass a budget–a total shirking of their fundamental duty to be diligent stewards of the taxpayers’ dollars.

The President will thus rely on the power of his words. With flourish, he will tell the story of America through a progressive’s eyes–one where “fairness” takes on a new meaning, where America’s core values are brushed aside, and where the truth about a failed presidency is forgotten in the shadows of his country’s collective memory. The President will speak from the high ground of his vaulted office. The question is whether the elevation conferred by his office will allow him to escape the soaring deficits, depths of unemployment, or miles of job-killing regulation that his Administration has wrought.

35 Reasons…er….Make That 36

23 January 2012, 12:20 pm. 7 Comments. Filed under 2012, Election Stuff, The ONE.

Alan Caruba provides us with a list of 35 reasons why Obama should not, and WILL not, be re-elected. Obviously, this is just a partial list. If anyone were to compile a complete list, it would likely end up resembling the size of his ObamaCare bill. :?

1. Blamed all problems on George W. Bush, not the Democrats who had controlled both chambers of Congress since January 3, 2007 until 2010 when the Republicans gained control of the House.

2. Obamacare: challenged by 28 States as unconstitutional, subject of a Supreme Court hearing in March.

3. Supported passage of Cap-and-Trade carbon regulation legislation.

4. A strong advocate of “global warming”; revealed to be a hoax in 2009.

5. His failed multi-billion dollar “stimulus” program.

6. Admitted there were no “shovel-ready jobs.”

7. Mortgage refinance plan deemed a complete failure.

8. Appointment of White House policy “Czars”, one of whom was a Communist.

9. Failed foreign policy; Israel, Iran, North Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.

10. Mishandling of BP oil spill; slow to react, shut down all drilling in Gulf of Mexico.

11. Abortive outreach to Muslims

12. Bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia.

13. Stopped the building of the XL Keystone pipeline. Has opposed offshore and domestic oil drilling

14. The Solyndra “Green energy” bankruptcy whose loan guarantee cost taxpayers a half billion dollars.

15. The “Fast and Furious” gun-running scandal.

16. Sued Arizona for trying to control illegal immigration.

17. A rogue Environmental Protection Agency.

18. Highest federal spending since World War II.

19. Highest budget deficit since World War II.

20. Highest federal debt since just after World War II.

21. Increased federal debt more than all Presidents from Washington to Clinton combined.

22. Highest long-term unemployment since the 1930s.

23. Lowest employment (58.1% if population) since 1983.

24. Lowest home ownership rate since 1965.

25. First downgrade of U.S. debt rating in nation’s history.

26. Refused to support the Defense of Marriage Act.

29. Attempted to stop Boeing from building a manufacturing unit in South Carolina.

30. Government takeover of General Motors.

31. Authorized military action in Libya without Congressional approval.

32. Advocates major cuts to Pentagon budget for U.S. military

33. Continues to hide college records, passport and Social Security number information.

34. Not a “natural born” citizen as required by the U.S. Constitution (both parents must be U.S. citizens to be President) and thus he was ineligible to run, ineligible to hold the office, and ineligible to run again.

35. Does not tell the truth.

How about we add one more to Mr Caruba’s list: Abortions Help “Our Sons To Fulfill Their Dreams”

Every time I think the man/child can’t get any worse, or more offensive, he comes up with something that turns my stomach, once again.
