Idolatry in America

14 February 2014, 12:02 pm. 8 Comments. Filed under Faith, Hypocrisy, Opinion, U.S. Constitution.

Yeah… I went there, but not in the way you think.  You see, ya don’t have to kneel before some statue, pray to a tree, or rip beating hearts out of human victims to be an idolater. Having lost our moral compass, the U.S. has become a nation of idolaters.

When a person puts their job, or some tv show, or even a politician before God, we are guilty of idolatry. That might not make sense to some people, but it is the same thing.

Obsessing with who is going to win American Idol? Oh, fer the love of pete…. priorities are kind of skewed, don’t you think?

If your job is more important than your family….guilty. You can say you are working those extra hours for them, but isn’t it more important to be WITH them?

If that flat screen tv your neighbor makes your blood boil, with envy….yep. Guilty.

Killing to get what someone else has that you want…yep.

Taking that trip to the abortionist to sacrifice an innocent life just because you aren’t ‘ready’, ‘your job’, ‘your boyfriend said you had to’, ‘my body, my choice’, or whatever other excuse you can come up with…guilty as charge.

Murdering another human being, a life that was created by God, just because they look different, dress different, think different, or don’t worship the way you believe they should, is all idolatry. The Muslims are guilty of that last one, whether they know it or not.

Here’s one that some folks might not think of…technology. We have become quite the technological nation. You see people in restaurants, with their heads bowed, but they aren’t praying, giving thanks to the One who has given them the means to be able to sit down and eat a decent meal. No, they are busy texting their friends, instead of spending time talking to the person sitting across from them at the table. There are even commercials now that show the obsession:

We idolize things, like technological gadgets, and people, like sports figures, who do nothing to deserve such hero worship, and even political figures, sad to say. Barack Hussein Obama was right, but not in the way he thinks. You didn’t build that.

I’m not saying don’t use technology, obviously, since I am sitting here in my recliner on one of those gadgets called a laptop. What I am saying, do not put that technology before everything, especially those who are, or should be, most important in your life….God and family.

Without the Grace of God, you wouldn’t live in a nation where you were free to build a business, a house, learn to read, or worship in the manner you choose, whether it’s in a Temple, a cathedral, or…dare I say it… even a mosque. Without God’s Hand, you wouldn’t have the brain to develop a product that people want to buy, or use.

As I drink my morning coffee, it occurs to me…finally. Without the Hand of God, I wouldn’t be enjoying that fragrant brew! It was His Hand that created the bean, and the hand that picked it. It was His Hand that created the soil in which it grew, on the planet, in the solar system, in the universe. His, and His alone that made it possible for the pot in which it brewed. He created the brain that came up with the nice little Hamilton-Beach. God gave that person the brain, and the choice of how to use it.

We were a nation founded by men that had a deep faith in God… not in man, God. They had the intellect to look around them, to study other forms of government, and found the writings of many brilliant men, but always looked to one Book for guidance. A Book written a very long time ago, by the hands of men, moved by the Spirit. There are many laws in that Book, some of which we don’t really understand because at the time it was written, life was much different. However, there are ten that should be first and foremost in our minds and hearts, the first of which should be our Guiding Light: You shall have no other gods before Me.

The next time your kid asks you to go out and play catch, or asks to bake cookies with you, don’t tell him or her that you are too busy, you have work to do, or you are watching your favorite tv show. Think of this: Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

This is one of those life lessons I learned, very late in life. I didn’t spend enough time with my daughter as she grew older. I forgot she needed my guidance, I forgot she would learn from me when my sarcastic sense of humor came out, and that she would pass this along to her children. I was too busy living my own sin filled life. I did not raise her up in the way she should go, but she turned out ok in the long run, despite my short comings. The sad thing is, when I look at my grandchildren, I see the same mistakes being made, and am rebuked. I see my failures. I see my parents’ failures as well. Things are not love.

We have lost our moral compass, and without it, we shall fall. We have put mans wishes, and things, above the One who gives us such great freedom. “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.” We are surely divided.

Here’s an example I’d like to share… the next time you ‘rebuke’ the POTUS for his policies, and someone shouts ‘racist’, know that that person who is shouting is an idolater.

Ten very simple Laws would turn our nation around. It really isn’t that complicated, in my opinion, but no one ever said it would be easy.

Well, Isn’t That Special!

Administration announces another delay in ObamaCare employer mandate

The Obama administration announced another delay Monday in the requirement on businesses to provide health coverage, giving some employers a reprieve next year while phasing in the mandate for others.

The administration had already delayed the implementation of the so-called employer mandate by a year, presumably pushing the requirements off until 2015. In a bow to business, though, Treasury Department officials announced Monday that the administration would not enforce the rules across the board next year.

Instead, the administration will let employers with 50 to 99 employees off the hook in 2015. They’ll be required to report on how many workers are covered but will have until 2016 before facing a penalty for failing to cover employees.

Employers with 100 or more workers will be required to provide health insurance to full-time staff. However, the new rules will only require them to cover 70 percent of workers next year; and then 95 percent the following year.

Ok, let me get this straight….they claim that once Obama signed that gawd awful, job and people killing bill, it was the law of the land.  So, just how can he turn around and say, “Oh…I was just joshin’ ya….it’s not really a law, and if it is, I can change it any time I want!”

I’m not going to put the whole blame on that un-Constitutional POTUS.  I’m going to put a large chunk of the blame on Congress because they refuse to stand up to this tyrant.  Yes…TYRANT!  Either Congress does its job, or we will end up doing it for them.  They won’t like the results!

‘Let Them Eat Cake’ While Dreams Die

Albert Einstein was a brilliant man, and shared many brilliant thoughts with the world. One of the most brilliant: “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Sadly, we don’t have any Einstein’s in Congress. Friedrich Nietzsche hit the nail on the head when he said “In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.” Rather prophetic when you think about the ‘ruling parties’ of any given nation, and watch that nation fall apart. And who can ever forget the famous line, spoken by Strother Martin in Cool Hand Luke, “What we’ve got here is failure to communicate.” (For you young’uns, look it up! Good movie.)

We have a Congress that is ‘insane’, a nation that is on the verge of ‘insanity’, and an administration who communicates with what must be sign language because no one is hearing the truth. We talk, but they don’t listen. And the circle goes ’round and ’round and ’round….

Amy Payne is calling it “Congressional Groundhog Day”, referencing the rather amusing Bill Murray movie.  Instead of learning new tricks, as Murray’s character did, Congress is pushing the same old failures.  Failures from their actions, failures in other nations, failures that lead to destruction.  And that’s the jist of it all, isn’t it, the destruction of our economy, our dreams, and the Grand Experiment that was working pretty well until around 1913, or there abouts.  The destruction of this road is almost complete.

Here’s another quote for you:  The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.

That was said by then Senator Barack Hussein Obama, in March of 2006. My, how times have changed. Then, it was a failure of leadership to not pay the bills racked up by the government, but we are now suppose to believe the opposite? Is it now the lack of leadership that the POTUS can’t have all the power of the purse, and Congress should be free to spend all the money that doesn’t exist?

Honestly, I’m quite confused.  It’s lack of leadership to discuss raising the debt ceiling when someone else is in the White House, of the opposite party of course, but it’s not a lack of leadership when he’s in the White House?  I dunno, but I’d have to say that was the epitome of hypocrisy.

Last week, I talked about the teenager and the credit card. Nothing has changed. Would you allow your irresponsible teen to spend even more when he has yet to prove he can be responsible? Of course not! So, why for pity’s sake, should we let Congress, who are supposedly adults but are even worse than the irresponsible teen, continue to abuse WE, The People in a like manner?

We’re talking, but they ain’t listening. We’ve said NO MORE, but they are deaf. Marie Antoinette never actually said ‘Let them eat cake’, (“Qu’ils mangent de la brioche.”), but out here in the real world, that’s the impression we are getting from our elected officials. It’s better to lose your job, ‘pursue dreams’ and spend time with your family? What kind of moron believes that not being able to provide for that family is a good thing? Oh…that’s right. Never mind.

There’s a simple solution to the whole problem, other than a complete revolution.  Stop spending.  Cut the crap!  And there’s a LOT of crap!  There are enumerated powers laid out in the Constitution, and honestly, they’re not all that complicated.  Simple rules to live by while SERVING the people, and I mean ALL the people….not just the lobbyists who pay for lavish trips, rounds of golf at exclusive clubs, and make HUGE donations to campaign coffers.

WE, The People are getting pretty pissed off, and it’s time for Congress to LISTEN while we communicate.  No raising the debt ceiling again.  No cutting funds for our military and vets, no shutting down parks, abusing those who paid for them in blood, ground Air Force One, cut up the credit card, and live within the means that WE set forth, just like the rest of us.  We don’t need a number of those bloated government alphabet bureaucracies, so either cut their budgets by 2/3 or eliminate them completely.  EPA comes to mind.

It’s time for the power to return to those it was intended.  WE, The People!

The Thugs In D.C.

Scenario:  You do when you give your teenager a list, your credit card, and send him off to the store (let’s say Wally World) believing he’ll come back with a receipt, and the items you requested.  When he finally gets home, you watch him unload the car and proceed into the house with a lot more bags than would be required for the items on your list.  As you are unloading the bags, while he stands there watching holding another bag or two behind his back, you notice that not only did he not get half of the needed items, but you pull our a pair of new sneakers, a ‘really cool’ jacket, a few pairs of jeans and t-shirts with ridiculous slogans, and a whole lot of junk food.  While you stand there with your mouth hanging open, you ask for the receipt.  His response:  I don’t know.

After much grumbling, he finally finds it crumpled up in his back pocket, along with your credit card.  Then you ask for those bags he’s hiding.  You find items from a different store, locally known as a head shop, with items that you would never approve of having in your home.  Think about it!

What do you do?

Responsible parents would load the sneakers, jeans, t-shirts, and the ‘really cool’ jacket back into the bags, along with the contraband items, grab said teenager by the ear, dragging him back to the store to return the items, and make him finish his job….right.  While at the store, you inform management that he will no longer be allowed to use your credit card, and if he attempts to make any purchases with said card, to call you, and the police, immediately.

Said teen will be grounded for a month!  No car, no video games, no cell phone, no iPod, no computer, and all homework and chores will be done before he goes to bed!

This is what we have in Congress!  Irresponsible teenagers!  Of course, the head of that gang of teens is in the White House, egging on the other kids to break their promises to spend only what they have been permission to spend, and no more.

Sadly, we don’t seem able to take away the credit card, or ground them.  We SHOULD be able to, but the gang has grown so big, with a variety of alphabet organizations to back them up, many people are intimidated, and cross the street to avoid the thugs.  Oh, a few will confront them, but they are shouted down by the bullies, bad mouthed around town, convincing the folks that those who speak out are the thugs.

Once again, we see a Congress and president who wants to go on a shopping spree with our credit card.  The card is already way over the limit, and those items that are suppose to be paid for are being left out (our military and vets), to the detriment of those who have earned their pay, and more!

When the bill comes due, there is no way we can pay it, so we have to borrow….more…and more….and more….just to pay the interest on the debt they have created.

There is a simple four page document that limits the power of the federal government.  I would suggest that members of Congress actually read, and LEARN, just what their enumerated powers really are, and stick to them.  I would also suggest that the POTUS, who supposedly lectured on the subject, read and LEARN what his enumerated powers are, and both the legislative and executive branches cease their abuse of their offices, and of WE, The People.

“Government is not a solution to our problem,
government is the problem.”

A Dependent Society

I must have missed something somewhere along the line.  When did ‘health benefits’ become the number one reason for a person to work?  I always believed the reason people worked was to provide for their families.  Putting a roof over their heads and food on the table use to be the reason people got a job.  I guess that’s no longer true.  Quite sad.

Apparently, that’s the first question people will ask when applying for a job these days.  “What are you going to give me if I work for you?”  If that’s the first question that comes out of your mouth, then you don’t deserve the job!  How about the fact that someone is willing to give you a chance, to provide a big benefit called a paycheck!

Yes, people do need some sort of insurance, but what that has become has pushed the costs of care through the roof.  Don’t blame the doctors, blame the insurance companies!

But now that Obamadontcare is in effect, you may not have to worry about whether or not you even get a paycheck!

For those who need visuals, this chart I found at Forbes from the CBO might help:

CBO-labor-participation  click to embiggen

Congratulations!  You’ve joined the freeloader force!  I don’t use that word lightly, because likely, it’s not your fault that you are no longer employed.  When you stop to think about it, who is going to pay your bills?  Well, that would be those folks who are lucky enough to still have a job.  It’s not the government, they don’t have a dime!  It’s your fellow citizens who are giving you the hand out you need to feed your family.  Unfortunately, instead of them handing you a gift from the heart, the government confiscates a large portion of their income, not to just help you, but to fund every other ridiculous idea they can come up with on a regular basis.  The more that is stolen from those who work, the fewer people who will be working, and the cycle continues.  And the resentment rises.  We’ve become a nation divided, and we will fall!

Wait!  Isn’t that what Mr Obama said, that he was going to ‘fundamentally transform’ America?  Well, he has succeeded.  We are no longer the land of the free, but are we brave?  Do we have the courage to stop this downward spiral?  Is there anyone in D.C. who will stand up for us, and say ENOUGH?  Perhaps a few, but they are shouted down by the big government nannies on BOTH sides of the aisle.

So, here we are, standing at a crossroads.  Do we sit back, allow this once great Republic become a second, or even third, world nation?  Or do WE take our country back?  If those we elect to represent us refuse to “support and defend” the U.S. Constitution, do we falter and bow at the alter of big government?  In my mind, it’s not a difficult decision.

Shade Tree Mechanics Need Not Apply
by The Bunker

What a sorry state of affairs. It has been said that America is a nation that has tens of thousands of rules and regulations to enforce ten simple laws.

The controllers in government have taken a beautiful machine that was designed to carry the human race along the path of Freedom and attached so many rules, regulations, warning stickers and restrictions that the machine no longer moves.
These mechanics then stand around and bicker over whether to add more devices or remove a label in hopes the machine will operate again. Everyone ignores the reason the machine was built in the first place!

The riders of the machine have no true understanding of where the vehicle is suppose to take them. The citizen is told that in America they have Freedom and with this Freedom they have Rights. The people parrot the controller’s words and chant, “USA, USA!” while armored vehicles roll through their neighborhoods and men with machine guns force them from their homes (Boston, 2013).

This juvenile understanding of what Freedom means is analogous to a father telling his son that to be a Christian the child only needs to say the word, “Jesus” twice a day!

The American machine of Freedom came with an operator’s manual; it is called the U S Constitution. It lays out in simple detail how the machine is supposed to be used and maintained. Shade tree mechanics have tossed the handbook into the burn barrel and now stand around and scratch their heads.

The mechanic’s who ruined our Freedom machine tell us to, “Trust them” that they can fix the machine. If we just let them, “add this to that, turn here and scribble there, insert this and remove that” everything will be alright and the machine will be as good as new.

The True knowledge of individual Freedom and Liberty empowers the citizen to stand up and proclaim in the loudest voice, “NO, you have done enough damage already! Go away leave us alone. We the People have copies of the operator’s manual and will fix the machine OURSELVES!”

The American machine of Freedom was designed to be operated by the people. No shade tree mechanics needed. To keep the machine running, the people through knowledge of Freedom and Liberty and Natural human Rights can ride the machine in the Pursuit of Happiness.

The operator’s Knowledge can only be attained by studying the reason the machine was created. The Truth is the fuel that started the machine running in 1776.

The people need to refill their personal tanks with this Truth. The spirit of individual Freedom created a nation of Freemen who overflowed with enthusiasm for Liberty.

The shade tree mechanic’s do not want you to know the Truth. They want us ignorant so the bill keeps get larger and larger until they own us and our machine.

There are no easy fixes. There will be pain and suffering, scratches and sore muscles. We might even go bust before the machine is restored. The machine was not designed to provide an easy ride.

There is one Truth that cannot be denied. The machine of Freedom was built to be operated by the People. Shade tree mechanics need not apply.

Time For Rebuking

So Help Me God

The battle for American liberty is the battle for American Christianity. Christians largely don’t get it. They are locked into a religious viewpoint, oblivious of the greater battle being waged against them and the word of God.

In order for the new socialist order to be completed in the United States, they must not only defeat the forces of liberty, but also the forces of Christianity. It is actually the religious zeal that they fear more than a few dedicated patriots. I suggest that the Marxist bureaucracy thirsts for the rebellion of the patriots, to kill off the last few hold-outs of Constitutional authority and to forever brand “patriots” as lunatics who should be disarmed and exterminated.

Christians give them more pause and for good reason. There are a lot more Christians than patriots and religious fervor is greater than patriotic fervor. Every war in the 21st Century has proven that. The fact that some of the patriots are also Christians is less relevant to them than if Christians became patriots.

A quote here for ya:

John 8:44

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

And another:

Ephesians 6:11-13

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Here’s another one:

Luke 22:36

36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

There is one very important point that so many have forgotten:  Our nation was founded on the laws of God, not the laws of man.  Our founders were men of faith, even though many will try to convince you otherwise.   The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land!

Today, neither our courts, nor our elected officials,  follow the laws of God, or the U.S. Constitution, unless it benefits their ideology.

See P/H’s The Biblical Foundation of Our Constitution!  It is time to ‘rebuke’ such authoritarians, as we have been instructed by THE Law Giver!

“A proper rebuke points out the Higher Law being violated, and demands compliance with that Higher Law – not with one’s personal views.”

State of the Union? It Sucks!

I wonder what our Founders, those men who put in many hours, away from their families, working long hours into the night, risking everything, would say about the disastrous, over bloated, self centered, greedy, American hating, politicians we have today? If they could have seen into the future, would they have thrown in the towel, and said “Screw this! Those people aren’t worth our lives!”? Could very well be! They knew that if the government on the federal level gained/stole power from the states and the people, this grand experiment in freedom would be a failure. And so it has become. Yes, we still have more freedom in some areas than other countries, but not the types of freedoms that those men gave their all to accomplish.

I agree with Genevieve Wood! It IS time for Barack Obama to go on an “Apology Tour“….to the American people. He should bring along many of those in Congress to give their apologies as well, along with letters of resignation!  They all took an oath to uphold the Constitution!

President: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Congress: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

It is quite obvious to me that neither the POTUS, nor those holding seats in both houses have taken those oaths very seriously.

The State of the Union isn’t so peachy, especially under the watch of the current resident of the White House.  The lies, distortions and cover ups have been monumental, even putting Nixon’s term to shame.  Yes, an apology, and a resignation, are long over due!

7 Things It’s Not Too Late For
Amy Payne – The Foundry

Presidents offer pie-in-the-sky visions in their State of the Union addresses. But if President Obama—and Congress—were willing to “roll up their sleeves” (another common State of the Union phrase) and work on some tangible good for Americans, Heritage experts have a few ideas.

The President is calling this his “year of action,” after all. Here are seven things he should work with Congress to do.

1. Save Americans from skyrocketing energy bills. It’s time to reverse the war on coal and stop the greenhouse gas regulations that will drive up energy costs for families—with no noticeable climate benefit. People—especially low-income Americans—need affordable, reliable energy. The President’s climate regulations will drive up household electricity bills and destroy jobs across the country without making a dent in global temperatures.

When Is A Scandal Not A Scandal?

When the media, that is suppose to investigate and report the TRUTH, is the lapdog of the administration!

Lawyer says FBI has contacted few Tea Party groups, 8 months into IRS scandal

A lawyer representing dozens of Tea Party groups said Friday that only a few of his clients have been approached by federal investigators over the IRS targeting scandal, in the latest complaint about the slow pace of the probe eight months after the original admission.

Concerns continue to mount that the government is slow-walking its investigation into unfair practices by the IRS. The latest complaint comes a day after lawmakers revealed that the individual leading the Justice Department probe is a political supporter of President Obama.

Is anyone surprised? Does anyone actually believe anything will be done to resolved this issue? I sure don’t! As long as Obama is in office, the abuse of power, and our citizens will continue!

Benghazi, and the death of four Americans, the NSA, Fast & Furious, the IRS, the lavish spending…these are just a few of the many scandals that have plagued our nation during the reign of King Barack. Does the media investigate these stories? NO! Of course not! And that is also a scandal!

Just when are the people of this country going to shout “ENOUGH!”, become quite furious and very fast in taking our nation back?  When are our elected officials, those we put into office, going to put a stop to the abuse of American citizens?  This is not a left or right issue.  This is about right and wrong!

When writing this post earlier, I said that Holder was overstepping his authority. After consulting with the Constitutional Brain, aka Publius Huldah, I can conclusively say…. I WAS RIGHT!

Her response:

The following paper describes the criminal jurisdiction of the federal government. It is extremely limited. Most of what the DOJ does is unconstitutional as outside the scope of the powers granted to the executive branch in the federal Constitution.

George Washington’s cabinet had 4 members, one of which was Attorney General. There is a constitutional role for an AG – it is the AG which enforces the federal criminal laws Congress is authorized to make. But the objects of the AG’s powers are limited to those enumerated in the Constitution or to criminal laws made by Congress pursuant to the “necessary & proper” clause (which I explain in the paper).

What Criminal Laws are Congress Authorized To Make?

1. The Constitution grants to Congress only limited powers to make criminal laws. These powers fall into five categories: a) those made pursuant to express authorizations for four specific crimes; b) those made under the “necessary and proper” clause; c) those made for the few tiny geographical areas over which Congress has “exclusive Legislation”; d) those governing the military; and e) those made pursuant to two of the Amendments to the Constitution.  Let’s look at each category:

Read the entire paper!  The woman is brilliant!  She is extremely busy, so I appreciate the fact she took the time to respond to my question.  I’m anxious to see what it is that has her so involved right now.

I’ve no doubt it will be, as always, BRILLIANT!  king_cheetah

Federal government to recognize same-sex marriages in Utah

Attorney General Eric Holder said Friday the federal government will recognize more than 1,000 same-sex marriages in Utah, despite an earlier announcement this week from the state’s governor saying the state would not.

The decision means those Utah couples will have access to federal benefits that are available to married couples in other states, including the ability to file joint tax returns. It also adds to the confusion in the state following a surprise ruling last month against the state’s same-sex marriage ban.

Hundreds of gay couples got married before another court put those weddings on hold. The Justice Department statement marked the first time the Obama administration formally weighed in on the debate with any action.

Well now…isn’t that interesting.  The “legal’ lackey for the POTUS, who swears he’s Christian, took an oath to uphold the Constitution, and stated during his campaign he was opposed to same sex marriage, is overstepping his bounds in a state issue.

Yes, Holder says he is approving benefits for federal employees, but who exactly, do those employees work for?  Why, that would be you and me!  The folks of Utah said no.  The folks of Utah have the RIGHT to say no.  It’s really quite simple.

I’m fairly sure that no where in the U.S. Constitution does it say the an administrative appointee has the right to overrule the citizens of the state, OR the ruling of a court.

Wouldn’t it be nice if he did the job he was hired to do, and prosecute CRIMINALS?  Yeah…I know.  He was hired by Obama to do the opposite….well, depending on their color, of course!

I have this issue.  If God says something is wrong, and He will punish those who go against Him, then I’m fairly sure this is one of those times where it would probably be a good idea to take God’s Word, and not the weasels.  Just a thought.

Now, you’re going to have to click the link to get the details. :)  These are just a few of the ways OUR government is spending OUR money!  Do you think we should be paying for abortions in foreign countries?  How about a pet shampoo company?  Does the government beautify YOUR lawn?  I know I’ve never gotten a dime from them to plant daisies out front!

The news that the Ryan-Murry bill made cuts for our veterans (Title IV-Sec. 403) put the country in a tail spin.  Well, most of us anyway  Have they resolved that issue?  I honestly don’t know.  We don’t seem to get good news that Congress actually does something right for a change.  We only hear the small tidbits the infamous “they” want us to know.  Have you read this bill?  Dear Lord!  I’m fairly sure those we send to Congress to represent US hasn’t either!

If we all ran our households like Congress runs this country, we’d all be filing for bankruptcy.  Such spending practices have put this nation into debt at levels never seen in our history.  When Pelosi stated, “The cupboard is bare. There’s no cuts to make.”, I do believe she intentionally lied.  Either that, or she is delusional, the botox has warped her brain, or perhaps she has Alzheimer’s?   She’s no spring chicken, y’know. There are ALWAYS ways to make cuts in an over bloated government.

I honestly don’t understand why Congress can’t follow a very simple document called the U.S. Constitution!  Seriously, it would make their jobs so much simpler if they did, and their approval rating would sky rocket!  They have enumerated powers, a limit on what they are allowed to do, yet we allow them to go merrily on their way, doing whatever they damn well please, acting like kids in a candy store, spending our children’s children into debtors ‘prison’.

Members of Congress Won’t Read This Bill
Amy Payne – The Foundry

Passing bills to find out what’s in them… that was so 2010, right?

Sadly, no.

Any day now, Congress is likely to release the trillion-dollar Trojan horse that is the spending bill for 2014. It’s going to be big, and it’s going to be rushed. And few members of Congress (if any) are going to read it all.

Government budgeting isn’t supposed to be done this way.
