U.S. OUT Of U.N.

9 September 2010, 10:50 am. Comments Off. Filed under Male Bovine Excrement, Socialism, UN.

NOW! And while you’re at it, get the U.N. OUT of the U.S.!

After a Year of Setbacks, U.N. Looks to Take Charge of World’s Agenda

After a year of humiliating setbacks, United Nations Secretary General Ban ki-Moon and about 60 of his top lieutenants — the top brass of the entire U.N. system — spent their Labor Day weekend at a remote Austrian Alpine retreat, discussing ways to put their sprawling organization in charge of the world’s agenda.

Details concerning the two-day, closed-door sessions in the comfortable village of Alpbach were closely guarded. Nonetheless, position papers for the meeting obtained by Fox News indicate that the topics included:

– how to restore “climate change” as a top global priority after the fiasco of last year’s Copenhagen summit;

– how to continue to try to make global redistribution of wealth the real basis of that climate agenda, and widen the discussion further to encompass the idea of “global public goods”;

– how to keep growing U.N. peacekeeping efforts into missions involved in the police, courts, legal systems and other aspects of strife-torn countries;

– how to capitalize on the global tide of migrants from poor nations to rich ones, to encompass a new “international migration governance framework”;

– how to make “clever” use of new technologies to deepen direct ties with what the U.N. calls “civil society,” meaning novel ways to bypass its member nation states and deal directly with constituencies that support U.N. agendas.

As one underlying theme of the sessions, the top U.N. bosses seemed to be grappling often with how to cope with the pesky issue of national sovereignty, which — according to the position papers, anyway — continued to thwart many of their most ambitious schemes, especially when it comes to many different kinds of “global governance.”

Not coincidentally, the conclave of bureaucrats also saw in “global governance” a greater role for themselves.

I’m so angry right now, I can’t even come up with the words!  Anyone who has been paying any attention at all, has known the Useless Numnuts has never been about keeping the ‘peace’.  It’s a power hungry body, that wants to take control of ALL nations, including the United States.  Our Constitution means nothing to them, and will be used as fodder for the flames.  We already have an administration who uses it for toilet paper.  The next step will be for him to hand over the reins to his masters, and make the U.S. a slave state to the whims of a bunch of socialists.

Read their ‘retreat paper’!

Israel is NOT The Problem

US Links De-Nuking Israel with Removing Iranian Threat

The United States, which already has tied Israel’s agreeing to Palestinian Authority demands with solving the Iranian nuclear threat, now cites Israel’s nuclear arsenal as the key.

Honestly, I wish reporters wouldn’t use the term “US” when talking about such stupidity. They should actually say “US’s Obama administration”, because in reality, these actions do NOT reflect the sentiment of the MAJORITY of US citizens.

Ellen Tauscher, U.S. Undersecretary of State for arms control, was quoted by the London Guardian as saying last week, “The best chance we have to achieve a WMD-free zone in the Middle East is to reach an agreement on a lasting and just peace in the Middle East.” A proposal for a ban on mass destruction weapons in the Middle East is being circulated by the Obama administration and Russia.

The best chance for a peace in the Middle East is NOT tying Israel’s hands. The best chance is sending the evil Islamonazis to hell, where they belong!

Cairo also is using its “Israel card” to refuse to participate in the chemical weapons convention, arguing that Israel first must sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT).

Yeah, cuz Egypt has been such a promoter of peace, eh? /snark Perhaps, if all these assjacks, who are blaming one tiny little nation, who only wants to protect it’s people, and survive as a nation, would looks towards themselves, and realize, it’s not Israel that is the problem, but themselves, maybe….just MAYBE, there could be some sort of peace.

Israel’s “ambiguity” policy does not admit or confirm that it has nuclear weapons. It has declined to sign the NPT, which would require opening up state secrets on nuclear capability.

Nor should they! No sane nation reveals it’s security secrets. (Obviously, the US is no longer run by sane, rational people.)

The United Nations this week opened its NPT conference and heard Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad charge, “The Zionist regime continues to threaten the countries of the Middle East with its arsenal. It continues to threaten the world’s countries with acts of terror and invasion, and even gets the necessary assistance for its nuclear program.”

This, from the pig who wants to wipe Israel off the map. It’s embarrassing the US State Department even allowed this POS into the country, so he could spew his bilge.  I’m not aware of any threats Israel has made towards anyone, other than those who try to destroy them, and that’s in self defense.

An American-inspired Middle East peace, with Israel at the core, remains in the background of the official statements. Besides the Russian-American proposal, Egypt’s position paper calls for countries signing the non-proliferation treaty “to disclose all information available to them on the nature and scope of Israeli nuclear capabilities, including information pertaining to previous nuclear transfers to Israel.”

Seriously, I can’t figure out why any rational human being would see Israel as a ‘threat’. Why is it that Israel is suppose to comply with the anti-Semetic UN, when no one else does? Look at the map, and tell me who is a bigger threat to whom.

Pincus noted, “How the Obama administration deals with the nettlesome problem of Israel’s nuclear arsenal and the establishment of a nuclear-weapons-free zone in the Middle East will determine U.S. success or failure at the NPT conference.” [source]

Nettlesome? A tiny nation that just wants to survive is ‘nettlesome’? All I can say to that, is…..

….. unlike our current administration!  Here’s a reality check: Who do they think God will protect?  His Chosen People, or the murderous thugs who want to destroy them?

U.N. Elects Iran to Commission on Women’s Rights

Without fanfare, the United Nations this week elected Iran to its Commission on the Status of Women, handing a four-year seat on the influential human rights body to a theocratic state in which stoning is enshrined in law and lashings are required for women judged “immodest.”

Just days after Iran abandoned a high-profile bid for a seat on the U.N. Human Rights Council, it began a covert campaign to claim a seat on the Commission on the Status of Women, which is “dedicated exclusively to gender equality and advancement of women,” according to its website.

Buried 2,000 words deep in a U.N. press release distributed Wednesday on the filling of “vacancies in subsidiary bodies,” was the stark announcement: Iran, along with representatives from 10 other nations, was “elected by acclamation,” meaning that no open vote was requested or required by any member states — including the United States.

The U.S. currently holds one of the 45 seats on the body, a position set to expire in 2012. The U.S. Mission to the U.N. did not return requests for comment on whether it actively opposed elevating Iran to the women’s commission.

Former Chief U.N. Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter Nabbed in Teen Sex Sting

Former chief United Nations weapons inspector Scott Ritter was arrested in a Pennsylvania sex sting in November on a litany of charges involving a lewd Internet conversation with a person he thought was a 15-year-old girl.

Ritter, 48, allegedly masturbated in front of a Web camera while he was engaged in conversation in an Internet chat room with an undercover cop posing as the teenage girl.

I won’t be posting any of the rest of the article. Needless to say, it gets pretty graphic. I have to ask….what is it with the UN and pervs?

Document Reveals U.N.’s Goal of Becoming Rule-Maker in Global Environmental Talks

Environmentalism should be regarded on the same level with religion “as the only compelling, value-based narrative available to humanity,” according to a paper written two years ago to influence the future strategy of the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP), the world’s would-be environmental watchdog.

Uh….I beg your pardon???? I don’t bloody well think so!

The purpose of the paper, put together after an unpublicized day-long session in Switzerland by some of the world’s top environmental bureaucrats: to argue for a new and unprecedented effort to move environmental concerns to “the center of political and economic decision-making” around the world — and perhaps not coincidentally, expand the influence and reach of UNEP at the tables of world power, as a rule-maker and potential supervisor of the New Environmental Order.

One of the most useless, corrupt, and feckless organizations on the planet wants control of world political decisions? Once again, I don’t bloody well think so!

Read the report here, and read the whole article.   The idea that there are so many ignorant people willing to continue to follow along blindly, even though there is a great deal of evidence to prove the farce, is disconcerting, to say the least.  I’m not too sure how many Americans are willing to give up their freedom to the “One World” fascists, but they’re going to have to shoot my sagging old ass, because I will NOT submit.

Glass Houses and Stones

3 November 2009, 12:26 pm. 2 Comments. Filed under Feckless Weasels, Opinion, Socialism, UN.

The U.N. housing police

The United Nations is fretting that the United States might be violating human rights by not providing adequate housing. To get to the bottom of the issue, the U.N. Human Rights Council has dispatched Brazilian architect and urban planner Raquel Rolnik, the Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing, to our shores. We apologize for being unwelcoming hosts, but she should go back from whence she came.

Miss Rolnik’s bureaucratic pity might be better targeted at her native Brazil, where 28.9 percent of the urban population lives in slums, according to the UN-HABITAT Global Urban Indicators database. Or China, where the rate is 32.8 percent. Or Kenya at 54.8 percent, Mozambique at 79.5 percent, or Sierra Leone, where 97 percent of people in cities are slum dwellers.

But instead, the U.N. is expending its limited time and resources on the United States, where the homeless population is a fraction of a percent, three-quarters of people below the poverty line live in homes with two or more bedrooms, and median square feet of living space per person in poverty is 91 percent of the national median, according to the 2007 American Housing Survey. This is not what you would call a human-rights nightmare.

Miss Rolnik’s mission fits well with the Obama administration’s objective to have government intrude on every aspect of American life. She promotes “really thinking out of the box” about housing, particularly by moving away from the American dream of individual homeownership and toward more collective solutions, including “rent schemes, subsidized rent schemes, with public housing, with other types of community development housing, and other types of schemes. And of course, putting more priority on that in the government agenda and take that as a responsibility of the state.”

Read the rest of the column here.

I have made no secret of my disgust for the United Nations.  The concept was a decent one, but the reality is far from decent, in any way, shape or form.  It is one of the more corrupt bodies in the world.  So, when someone with a socialist agenda comes waltzing into MY country, claiming our poor are so mistreated, I take issue.

poverty

Which is likely not to have a roof over their heads?  In a report from Heritage Foundation from August 2007, we find: For most Americans, the word “poverty” suggests destitution: an inability to provide a family with nutritious food, clothing, and reasonable shelter. But only a small number of the 37 million persons classified as “poor” by the Census Bureau fit that description. While real material hardship certainly does occur, it is limited in scope and severity. Most of America’s “poor” live in material conditions that would be judged as comfortable or well-off just a few generations ago.

Are there poor in America? No doubt. Do we have a homeless problem? You betcha. Many of those who are homeless, roaming the streets, do so by choice. Many are mentally ill, alcoholics, drug addicts, who do not want to live in government housing. You can’t force someone to take charity who don’t want it. Well, unless you lock the door to prevent them from leaving.

Many have become homeless in recent months due to the ‘housing crisis’, brought about by government intervention. Giving loans to people who could not afford to pay them back is not a good business decision.

Now, before Mzzzzzzzzzzz Rolnik starts casting stones in our direction, perhaps she should take a real good look at her home.  The biggest social challenge for the Brazilian government and society is the lack of education, housing, health care and nutrition for the homeless children. Thousands live on the streets, abandoned by parents unable to afford to raise them. These children often abuse drugs, commit crimes and resort to prostitution to survive.

‘Climate Change’ Treaty: The Supreme Law Of The Land? Or Lawless Usurpation?
By Publius Huldah

If President Obama signs a “global warming” treaty at the United Nations’  “Climate Conference” in Copenhagen this December; and if the U.S. Senate ratifies it, will it become part of the supreme Law of the Land?

We hear it said that whenever the President signs, and the Senate ratifies, a Treaty, it becomes part of “the supreme law of the land”.  But is that True?  Not necessarily!  Walk with me, and I will show you how to think through this question, and how to analyze other constitutional questions which come your way.

You must always ask: Is this authorized in the Constitution? Where exactly in the Constitution? And precisely what is authorized by the Constitution?  Let us start at the beginning:

An Apology

I, as a natural born citizen of the United States of America, would like to offer my most sincere, and heartfelt, apology to the people of the State of Israel for the current occupant of the Oval Office.  I would like you to know that I, and many millions of others, in NO  way support his words or actions, especially when it comes to your country.

I am embarrassed that 52% of the American voters felt that this incompetent child would be a good idea as President of the United States.

Gun-Grabbers Undermine U.S. Sovereignty

Gun-grabbers invariably argue that such proposals will diminish the ability of criminals to use firearms in the perpetration of criminal acts. They seem not to have gotten through their thick heads that criminals who by definition do not obey laws prohibiting crime are not dissuaded by laws against gun possession or use. In fact, as John R. Lott documented in his book, More Guns Less Crime, laws that facilitate citizen access to firearms correlate with rates of reduction in crimes of violence. What a surprise: Criminals don’t want to face armed citizens!

Many lives have been saved by an law abiding ARMED citizen. Less guns on the streets does not equate less crime. These are criminals we’re talking about here, they will find a way to get weapons, illegally! They don’t give a flip about laws. If they did, they wouldn’t be criminals now, would they! The first line of defense is an armed citizenry! People willing, and able, to stand up against tyranny.

Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

It is my opinion, this should have been the FIRST amendment in the Bill of Rights, because without our right to bears arms, we will have no other rights to uphold. They can quite easily continue the erosion of all the others, which we’ve already seen in happening with the 1st Amendment.

Gun-grabbers for some time have worked assiduously to induce the United States to sign a treaty that would curtail drastically Americans’ gun rights. So far, the United States has avoided taking such a drastic, unconstitutional step. But the Obama Administration could well bring a reversal of policy. Obama may want to do an end run around American gun owners by signing such an international agreement and subverting citizen rights in that way. The administration propaganda nonsense that the Mexican drug wars are fueled with American firearms could be a prelude to such a program.

Do we really want our sovereignty as a nation diminished? I don’t live in a One World mind set, and neither should anyone else. Do we care about the rest of the world? Well, yes, we do….to an extent. But if you have watched events around the world, do you really want to be like them? Like Great Britain, where competition shooters have to leave their homes, just to practice? Do we want to be overrun by drug lords, like Mexico? Will we allow a dictator, like Chavez? If this is the same America I remember, then the answer will be, not just no….BUT HELL NO!

The gun-grabbers are seeking to promote and implement a 2001 UN resolution calling for a Program of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects.

Supporters of the program have been trying to neutralize American opposition by alleging that the program and its supporters contemplate action against only “illegal” or “illicit” guns or military-style firearms.

The fact that the Useless Numnuts are involved should be the first LARGE red flag! We’ve seen how effective they are in curtailing anything! /snark The biggest problem here, the UN does not want lawful citizens armed, to defend themselves, their families, their homes, their nation. An unarmed populace are much easier to control. Well, I don’t need to be controlled, and neither do you. Well, most of you don’t. Some should be put in straight jackets, but that’s another issue.

The program demands the adoption and implementation, “in the states that have not already done so, of the necessary legislative measures to establish as criminal offenses under their domestic law the illegal manufacture, possession, stockpiling and trade of small arms and light weapons within their areas of jurisdiction, in order to ensure that those engaged in such activities can be prosecuted under appropriate national penal codes.”

We already have laws in place to deal with this problem. We do not need a body of useless tinpot dictators to force their views on us.

A prime mover behind the program is the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA). It defines small arms as “weapons that can be carried and used by an individual, for example, revolvers, pistols, rifles, shotguns, submachine guns and assault rifles.”

I have a few of those little ‘weapons that can be carried and used’. And if push comes to shove, I WILL use them! I am not a criminal. I won’t say I’ve never broken the law. I had a wild youth. But during my wild time, I never, EVER, carried any weapons, or even owned any. Why should I, as a law abiding person, be left basically helpless because some asswipe in Europe wants to control the world? Why should you?  Many countries in Europe imposed gun bans before WWII, and the citizens were left defenseless.  We know what the results were then.  Other nations have imposed such bans.  The results are not pretty.  Do we want a repeat of history?  It’s bad enough we are forced to register any personal firearms, because with registration, they can easily come to your door, to forcefully take your guns.
