As usual with this president, Obama’s trip to and speech from Afghanistan had way more to do with politics than any real substance.

Seven thousand miles, one way, is a long journey to share war remarks with countrymen that he should have and could have shared back home many months ago. Despite the administration’s best backgrounding sales efforts, the document he signed with Afghan President Hamid Karzai is a meaningless basic agreement to talk later about forging a real agreement.

Nothing was essentially changed by what the media lovingly called his “secret trip” to the war zone, which was simply unannounced for security reasons.

So, how much did this useless little jaunt cost the taxpayers this time? I guess we’ll find out eventually. But we must remember to add in all the goodies he’s promised to the corrupt Afghan government as well. What was I heard? TWO BILLION? Was that a year, or in total? And we shall never forget the cost in the lives of our military men and women, those who will never come home (68% on Obama’s watch), and the many whose lives will never be the same, physically, mentally, or emotionally. There is no dollar number that could EVER reflect that cost!

So, what was this word BO left out?

In his speech last night the president noted the more than a half-million Americans who’ve served in Afghanistan. But in remarks that Obama wanted focused on an optimistic end to the conflict, he failed to mention the 1,957 Americans who’ve died there since 2001, 68% of them during his presidency. And 93 in the last 122 days.

Nor, as it turns out, could the politically-inclined president of the United States find room anywhere among his 1,556 words for the seven letters that could make his surges and all those sacrifices seem more worthwhile: “victory.”

The one word that Americans have fought and died for in way too many wars. Victory! There is no victory when you aren’t allowed to win. Enemies are to be killed….not won over to your side. It just doesn’t work that way. Well, at least it didn’t use to, when Americans were proud, and men stood up for their principles, AND their country.

If you happened to have missed BO’s little campaign speech last night, you can read it on the White House website.  Sadly, I did watch it, and nearly lost my dinner in the process.  It’s also at the bottom of link above.

Ya just gotta love this little tidbit:

But over the last three years, the tide has turned. We broke the Taliban’s momentum. We’ve built strong Afghan security forces. We devastated al Qaeda’s leadership, taking out over 20 of their top 30 leaders. And one year ago, from a base here in Afghanistan, our troops launched the operation that killed Osama bin Laden. The goal that I set — to defeat al Qaeda and deny it a chance to rebuild — is now within our reach.

I’m not really sure what planet that dude is on, but it ain’t planet Earth with the rest of us mere mortals. al Qaeda has branches all over the world, and they still have a large bullseye on the Big and Little Satans. No matter the name of the TERRORIST group, they are all the same in their goals. Destroy Western civilization, and kill any who do not submit to their phony god.

Oh, and then there is this:

Fourth, we’re pursuing a negotiated peace. In coordination with the Afghan government, my administration has been in direct discussions with the Taliban. We’ve made it clear that they can be a part of this future if they break with al Qaeda, renounce violence and abide by Afghan laws. Many members of the Taliban — from foot soldiers to leaders — have indicated an interest in reconciliation. The path to peace is now set before them. Those who refuse to walk it will face strong Afghan security forces, backed by the United States and our allies.

Really? Dude….put down the doobie, K? Rational human beings don’t ‘negotiate with terrorists’.  The Taliban?  Just another name for evil Islamonazis, and they are terrorists.  Simple.  The Afghans are not our partners in this ‘war’.  They are as much the enemy as the North Vietnamese were during that ‘conflict’.

Oh, and isn’t it interesting that BO chose the one year anniversary of bin Laden’s death?  Which, naturally, he is taking the credit for…as usual.  Take credit for what he didn’t do, while blaming others for he did do.  Gosh!  What a ‘leader’, eh?

This future is only within reach because of our men and women in uniform. Time and again, they have answered the call to serve in distant and dangerous places. In an age when so many institutions have come up short, these Americans stood tall. They met their responsibilities to one another, and to the flag they serve under. I just met with some of them and told them that as Commander-in-Chief, I could not be prouder. And in their faces, we see what is best in ourselves and our country.

Our soldiers, our sailors, our airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and civilians in Afghanistan have done their duty. Now we must summon that same sense of common purpose. We must give our veterans and military families the support they deserve, and the opportunities they have earned. And we must redouble our efforts to build a nation worthy of their sacrifice.

….will anyone bring up the fact that our military is being decimated and demoralized?

Did you know that military family and friends have to buy their soldier the equipment needed to keep them safe?  Well, at least as safe as possible in a war zone.  Why?  Because the freakin’ military doesn’t have the money needed to supply our troops, that’s why!

Where are all our tax dollars going that is suppose to keep us safe from the evil that is rampant in the world?  Gee, where should I start?  How about those who believe they are owed a check off YOUR hard earned dollars?  Maybe it’s the over bloated government spending on useless crap?  Or how about the salaries that pay our so called ‘public servants’ who do nothing but whine and complain they aren’t getting their ‘fair share’?  Do you know who are not getting their fair share?  That would be the men and women of our military!  No government employee should EVER make more in a year than the lowest ranked in our military.  NEVER EVER!

Do you know how many pairs of boots I sent to Iraq and Afghanistan?  And I don’t even have a family member serving!  Well, that’s neither here nor there.  The issue is why isn’t our military given the BEST of EVERYTHING?????  Is it because Michelle has to take her monthly vacation to the tune of a half mil?

Yeah…I better stop now.  I promised myself, I wasn’t going to be angry anymore.  Believe me, that’s a real hard promise to keep, but I am trying!

One year ago today, Seal Team Six landed in Abbottabad, Pakistan, and succeeded in bringing Osama bin Laden to ultimate justice. Though some may wish to bask in the glow of that success, now is not the time to celebrate or lay down arms. Bin Laden may be dead, but serious threats against the United States live on, both here in the homeland and around the globe.

President Obama, though, is using the occasion to boost his re-election efforts with a self-congratulatory campaign ad. Heritage’s James Carafano writes, “If Lincoln had spent the entire Gettysburg Address talking about himself, it wouldn’t have been quite that crass.” And last night, the president made a campaign stop in Afghanistan where he delivered a speech remarking that the “dark cloud of war” is breaking way to “the light of a new day on the horizon” as U.S. troops continue to be withdrawn from the country. “This time of war began in Afghanistan, and this is where it will end,” he declared.

But hours before the president spoke, Americans received a stark reminder that threats do not end at the time and place of our choosing. Late Monday, the FBI arrested five self-proclaimed anarchists who had planted what they believed to be explosives at the base a bridge over Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio as part of the international May Day protest. Thankfully, law enforcement foiled their plot, and the men were using inoperable explosives obtained from an undercover FBI agent.

Unlike previous attempted terrorist attacks, the Ohio plot was not inspired by Islamism or hatched in the rugged mountains of Afghanistan. However, Islamist-inspired terrorist threats are by no means a thing of the past. Since 9/11, at least 50 Islamist-inspired plots against the homeland have been thwarted through the concerted efforts of U.S. intelligence and law enforcement. Without a doubt, more attempts are being hatched, and a target remains painted on American soil. Shrinking the U.S. military or retreating from the world stage will do nothing to diminish those threats.

However, as we saw last night, that is the path that President Obama would like to pursue. With bin Laden’s death serving as a notch of victory on his belt and with troops coming home from Afghanistan in accordance with an artificial timeline, the president is primed to make his pitch to the American people that this is a job well done. But there are more innings to be played in this Long War against terrorism, and other threats remain in every corner of the world.

That’s why this month The Heritage Foundation is hosting its fourth annual “Protect America Month” in which leading conservatives and defense experts will deliver speeches and author a series of papers showcasing the need for America to commit to defending itself. In the first in a series of Protect America Month “America At Risk” memos, Matthew Spalding, PhD, Vice President of American Studies at The Heritage Foundation, writes that the federal government and its elected officials have an existential obligation to ensure that America is defended:

It is the constitutional duty of the federal government to secure the country’s international borders and preserve and protect its territorial integrity, to strengthen and preserve its constitutional government, and to promote the long-term prosperity and well-being of its people. This means that the United States must be able, willing, and prepared at all times to defend itself, its people, and its institutions from conventional and unconventional threats to its vital interests, both at home and abroad.

Unfortunately, under this Administration, the military is facing significant cuts that severely undermine America’s ability to defend itself and stand ready to combat the threats that lie around the corner.

Those threats could very well emerge from Afghanistan if the Taliban are allowed to return to power, creating a breeding ground for al-Qaeda. In his speech last night, President Obama announced the signing of a Strategic Partnership Agreement with Afghanistan, making clear that the United States will retain a force presence in the country long after 2014. That is a sliver of good news, but Heritage’s Lisa Curtis explains, “that does not erase the mistakes the Obama Administration has made in setting arbitrary timelines for withdrawal of combat forces and failing to explain the stakes for the U.S. in Afghanistan to the American people for so long.”

The threat in Afghanistan remains, and the mission to protect America must continue. The president spoke last night of pursuing talks with the Taliban, yet hours later Taliban forces attacked a private compound with a car bomb, followed by gun fire, killing seven people and injuring 17 others. Clearly, the prospects for a political settlement with the Taliban remain remote.

The United States must recognize that it cannot wish away threats or retreat into retreat into its fortress. There are no castle walls high enough to prevent another 9/11, and turning away from enemies abroad will not make them go away. The U.S. military must be prepared to combat future threats, America’s law enforcement and intelligence communities must have the tools to prevent terrorist attacks at home, and our elected officials must recognize their constitutional obligation to protect America from its enemies, both foreign and domestic.

The group of five alleged anarchists who authorities say plotted to blow up a bridge outside of Cleveland in commemoration of the Occupy “May Day” protests switched their plans several times and were suspicious that the undercover agent who sold them fake explosives was, in fact, a cop.

As Israelis celebrated the Jewish State’s 64th Independence Day, terrorists from Gaza fired a rocket at the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council late on Wednesday night.

The rocket exploded in an open area. No physical injuries or damages were reported.

The rocket attack comes after terrorists fired a pair of rockets into southern Israel on Monday afternoon. One fell in the Ashkelon Regional Council, while the other fell in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council.

Neither caused physical injuries or property damage.

When we went to Israel back in 2008, one of the places I was looking forward to visiting was Ashkelon.  There are a lot of archaeological digs, and a whole lot of history there, and since we like that kind of stuff, it was definitely on our itinerary. We had already paid for the hotel. We lost our money. Why? Because of crap like this!  While we were there, those oh so peaceful and oppressed Gazans were lobbing bombs into the city.

Now, someone please tell me how these animals are oppressed…again?  The Israelis have made the desert bloom, the so called palestinians wait for someone else to provide for them, while promoting destruction, murdering the innocent, including their own children.     Psst!  There is no such thing as a ‘palestinian’!

Taliban-led insurgents opened a spring offensive Sunday with a wave of coordinated suicide missions, firing at embassies and government offices from seized buildings in Kabul and attacking U.S. bases and police stations in three eastern provinces.

The strikes, which seemed to catch U.S.-led forces and Afghan authorities by surprise, sparked fierce firefights in Kabul and two other cities that underscored the insurgency’s lethality as U.S. combat troops gird for the second phase of a withdrawal due to end in 2014.

“This is the start of the spring operations,” Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, declared in a cellphone interview with McClatchy. “This is just the beginning.”

Caught them by surprise?  Seriously?  It’s spring, right?  And isn’t spring when the crazy people come out?  And if there is anyone more crazy than the Taliban muzzies, I’m can’t think of ‘em right now.  (It is fairly early, and I’m still working on my first cup of coffee.)  I would expect the morons in the Obama administration to be surprised, but not the troops that are on the ground in that God forsaken future field of glass!  I would think from experience, they would know that attacks were coming and be prepared, no matter what those fools in Washington say.

Perhaps if our troops had been allowed to do their job, wipe the sons of beaches out, like most logical people would do with an enemy that wants to destroy you, we wouldn’t be spending billions of dollars and the greatest of treasure in that hell hole, propping up a corrupt government, feeding the demon.

The violence, which lasted past nightfall in Kabul and Puli Alam, the capital of neighboring Logar province, claimed the lives of at least 26 insurgents and four civilians, Afghan and NATO officials said. At least 36 others, mostly civilians, were wounded. All of the casualties were Afghans. Some of the attackers were captured.

The attacks, Mujahid said, were “a message” in response to recent assertions by U.S. officials and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen “that there would be no spring offensive because we are not able to fight.”

The U.S.-led International Security Assistance Force, or ISAF, issued a statement calling the strikes “largely ineffective.”

“Largely ineffective”? Honestly, I’m flabbergasted. I bet ya dollars to donuts, the families of those civilians who were murdered think the scum were pretty effective. I’d think the wounded would feel the same way, as well. And this is the bunch that that fool who claims to be the ‘CiC’ wants to negotiate with? We could have ended this whole damn thing a long time ago if the politicians had let our military do its job! Screw that ‘winning hearts and minds’ butt explosion! You fight a war to win! Not make friends! You demand fear and respect from your enemy, not give them money. A majority of Egyptians (56%) now see closer relations with the U.S. as a bad thing for their country, up sharply from 40% in December 2011, a Gallup poll says.

Egyptians are now more likely to favor closer ties with Turkey and Iran than with the United States, the poll found.

Only 28 percent of Egyptians said closer relations with the U.S. are a good thing.

The poll, released on Friday, comes as the Obama administration announced it will waive democracy requirements so it can send up to $1.5 billion in aid to Egypt, despite concerns that the country is backsliding on its commitments to democracy and the rule of law.

According to the Associated Press, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has decided that it is in the U.S. national interest to allow $1.3 billion in military assistance to flow to Egypt. She also certified that Egypt is meeting its obligations to the Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty, which frees up an additional $200 million in economic aid.

Clinton is expected to sign the waiver on Friday.

Well, he can’t be, can he.  I mean, if he was, he’d be able to understand plain ol’ American English, wouldn’t he?  And EVERYONE understands the word NO!  Haven’t we said it often enough?  I’m even questioning Hillary’s ability to understand the language.  I THINK she was born and bred somewhere in the states….Illinois, wasn’t it?  But her comprehension comes into question as well.  I suppose it’s possible since her spouse of many years never could understand the word, it’s rubbed off?

It’s a simple word, spoken by a large majority of people, on a regular basis, and yet….those at the top don’t seem to be able to comprehend….WE DO NOT SUPPORT GIVING ANY OF OUR MONEY TO PEOPLE WHO HATE US!  Really, you’d think anyone with common sense would be able to grasp this concept.  Oh…ooops!  Silly me!  There is NO common sense with this bunch!  These are the type of people who would kill every single one of us, yet, the head honcho doesn’t seem to give a flying flip.  Is that his intent?  To encourage the slaughter of innocents?  It’s worked real well in other countries, hasn’t it.

Contrary to what the fake potus has said, we ARE a Christian nation, by a large majority.  Why would we send monetary support to a country that persecutes our brothers and sisters?  There is no logic to this guy’s actions, in darn near EVERYTHING.  No logic whatsoever!  It’s our job to fight evil, root it out where we find it.  Obviously, that’s not part of Obama’s agenda.  Nope….he gives it money!  OUR money!

U.S. Officials expected outrage after the alleged massacre of 16 civilians by an American soldier, and now they’re starting to see it.

Dozens of people in southern province of Kandahar held a religious service Tuesday in memory of the shooting victims, and around a thousand students in eastern Afghanistan gathered to voice their anger over the killings.

Burning and chanting “death to America,” the protesters in Jalalabad demanded that the U.S. soldier accused of killing the civilians – including nine children – face a public trial, in Afghanistan.

The protesters also called for American troops to leave Afghanistan now, describing them as tyrants and crusaders.

The Taliban, meanwhile, issued another threat to the U.S. forces in Afghanistan on Tuesday.

In a statement the insurgent group warned they would, “kill and behead your sadistic and murderous soldiers,” in revenge for the Kandahar shootings.

This is the Taliban, right?  Calling our soldiers ‘sadistic and murderous’?  Y’know…if it were so serious, it would be down right funny coming from the most SADISTIC and MURDEROUS animals on the face of the planet!  Yeah…a guy went a bit nuts over there.  I’m surprised more don’t go off the deep end after they hands tied by our own government, and seeing body parts of children on a regular basis.

If the Obama administration hands this, or any other American, over to these pigs, then they are no better than the filth they are ‘negotiating’ with, and should be tried for any number of crimes….the list is long of the crimes they have committed against the American people.

They want our troops out?  Fine…I say lets bring ‘em home….NOW!  Let them all kill each other, cuz honestly, I don’t give a happy crap.  That whole country is nothing more than a criminal enterprise based on a fake god and his child raping ‘prophet’!  They don’t deserve all we have done to aid them, and should be sent to the hell they belong!  I’d be more than happy to push that button, to send them along to the fate they have waiting for them in the afterlife….a fiery pit!

A US soldier in Afghanistan has killed at least 16 civilians and wounded five after entering their homes in Kandahar province, senior local officials say.

He left his military base in the early hours of the morning and opened fire in at least two homes; women and children were among the dead.

Nato said it was investigating the “deeply regrettable incident”.

Anti-US sentiment is already high in Afghanistan after US soldiers burnt copies of the Koran last month.

US officials have apologised repeatedly for the incident at a Nato base in Kabul, but they failed to quell a series of protests and attacks that killed at least 30 people and six US troops.

Yep…I really should feel bad about this incident, but right now, I just don’t.  I’m sorry kids were killed, but then, there were children murdered on 9/11, and many more since then.  What is truly regrettable is the fact we still have troops in that 7th century, backwood country.  What is even more regrettable is the numerous apologies for doing something those people do all the time….trash their so called ‘holy book’.

Local people have reportedly gathered near the base in Panjwai district to protest about Sunday’s killings, and the US embassy is advising against travel to the area.

Lt Gen Adrian Bradshaw, deputy commander of Nato-led forces, said he was unable to “explain the motivation behind such callous acts”, adding that “our thoughts and prayers are with those caught in this tragedy”.

I’m still waiting for the apologies to the families of the U.S. and NATO personnel that were murdered by the Afghans over the burning incident. Haven’t heard that yet, have we? Did I miss it? Has that so called CiC made any effort to reach out to their families? Or, is it just the ‘sluts’ of the Dem party that get support from that fake?

I don’t know why the soldier went off on the ‘civilians’. It’s regrettable that any of our men and women in uniform have to suffer from so much internal pain caused, in large part, by the lack of back up from their own government. Remove our troops, and bomb the SOBs back into their caves. Not a one of them deserve the treasure we have spent to free them from the oppressive Islamic regime. They evidently don’t want liberty, and our government has the audacity to actually ‘negotiate’ with the animals? NO MORE! We have had enough of this BS! When you go to war, you go to win! You do NOT go to make friends, win hearts and minds. You totally destroy your enemy!  Let them be destroyed!

The Transportation Security Administration in Hawaii says an agent was wrong to tell a nursing mother she couldn’t board an airplane with her breast pump.

The TSA tells KITV the agent at the Kauai airport mistakenly told Amy Strand she could only bring the pump onboard if the bottles contained milk.

She was allowed to board after pumping in a bathroom and showing the full bottles to the agent.  Strand was traveling home to Maui with her 9-month-old daughter Wednesday when her pump raised questions during screening.

She asked for a private place to pump and was told to go to the women’s restroom. Strand says the only outlet was next to a sink facing a wall of mirrors, so she had to stand in front of others.

I’m not seeing anywhere that this moron was canned.  Wonder why that is?  Oh…that’s right….they all work for the gubmint and they can do anything they damn well please, and actually get away with it.  Oh…some have been canned for stealing from the passengers, but otherwise….  Yep…they can physically and sexually assault you.  The can make a young mother pump her breast milk, in a public restroom, so anyone coming in or going out will be able to watch her.  Where were the mirrors located?  Were they in a location where they could be seen from outside any time the door opened?

The TSA has gone far beyond their scope of authority.  Instead of targeting those who WOULD do harm, they molest little children, grandmothers, and from some things I’ve read, busty and attractive women.  Does no one see a problem here?  Apparently, the broad  in charge doesn’t.  The continuous 4th Amendment violations by a government agency is just peachy keen for her.

Two American soldiers were killed Thursday in a shooting by an Afghan soldier and a literacy teacher at a joint base in southern Afghanistan, officials said, the latest in a series of deaths as anti-Americanism rises following the burning of Korans by U.S. soldiers.

Both were killed on the same day that the top NATO commander allowed a small number of foreign advisers to return to work at Afghan ministries after more than a week of being locked down in secure locations because of the killing of two other Americans.

Thursday’s killings raised to six the number of Americans killed in less than two weeks amid heightened tensions over the Feb. 20 burning of Korans and other Islamic texts that had been dumped in a garbage pit at Bagram Air Field near Kabul. More than 30 Afghans also were killed in six days of violent riots that broke out after the incident.

Wait a minute. I thought D’Bama said his apology got everything calmed down. So, I’m guessing the 6 dead Americans isn’t true? I’m sure their families will be quite happy to know that Barack Hussein Obama is in charge, and all is well, including their dead loved ones.

It’s time to get out!  Let them kill each other, I don’t care!  I’m tired of that candy ass in Washington apologizing and putting OUR military in even MORE danger!  Seriously doood….

Then along comes the “United Nations” telling the world that the soldiers who inadvertently burned the evil books, you know the ones, all marked up with jihadi messages, written by MUSLIM prisoners, should be tried? They were already ‘defiled’, so why not burn ‘em anyway? Hypocrites!  We’ve already lost enough to those animals.  Why don’t dipwads who sit in their fancy offices, judging everyone else, take their sorry hind ends over there, and apologize to the Americans who put their lives on the line to protect a bunch of animal ingrates!  WE Americans have had ENOUGH!

NATO must remain focused on fostering stability in Afghanistan despite the protests and violence that have gripped the country following the burning of copies of the Koran on a NATO military base, the alliance’s head said on Tuesday.

Am I the only one who finds this mildly amusing, in a demented sort of way?

“Despite the tragedy of this incident and the challenges we face, we must not lose sight of our goal, a stable Afghanistan. That is in all of our interest; that must remain the focus of our shared effort,” NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said during an alliance seminar in Washington.

The tragedy here is the ridiculous reaction of the the non leadership of the Pretender in Chief, and his minions.  What shared effort?  I can bet ya dollars to donuts that ‘stability’ in Afghanistan is a pipe dream.  The best thing anyone could do, in the BEST interest of the rest of the world, and as a very strong message, is to bomb them back into their caves.  I mean seriously, it’s a third world country, with a third world mind set, based in the 7th century.

The strategy of the United States and its NATO partners has been questioned in recent days, after the burning of copies of the Muslim holy book triggered widespread protests and two US officers were killed in an attack that took place within the Afghan Interior Ministry.

Well, I have been questioning their ‘strategy’ for quite a while m’self. I mean, after all, isn’t the purpose of a war is to actually…oh….I dunno…..WIN? Seems to me, the panty wastes have turned the finest military machine in the world into a bunch of babysitters for the most murderous thugs who use any excuse to beat up the other kids on the playground. In case those in Washington, and at NATO, aren’t aware….the purpose is to utterly DESTROY the enemy. Once they are completely vanquished, then you can play nice. Until then, you kill ‘em all, and let ‘allah’ sort ‘em out!

FYI….Barack Hussein Obama can take his apology and shove it where the sun don’t shine!  This ol’ broad apologizes for NOTHING!  Obama doesn’t speak for the majority of the American people, but Kira does!  Burn the rest of those hateful propaganda books!  Civilized people wouldn’t miss ‘em!

I want to extend my sincere condolences to the families of the Army Colonel and Major who were killed by Afghanistan security forces over this “burning Koran” episode.

If we had resolute leadership in the White House, we would have explained that these Islamic terrorist enemy combatants detained at the Parwan facility used the Koran to write jihadist messages to pass to others.

In doing so, they violated their own cultural practice and defiled the Koran and turned the Koran into contraband.

Instead here we go again, offering apology after apology and promising to “hold those responsible accountable.” Responsible for what?

When tolerance becomes a one-way street it leads to cultural suicide.

This time it immediately led to the deaths of two American Warriors.

America is awaiting the apology from President Hamid Karzai.

A French photojournalist and an American working for a British newspaper were killed Wednesday by Syrian government shelling of the opposition stronghold of Homs, France’s government said.

Activists said at least two other Western journalists were injured in barrages that claimed at least 19 lives.

We all know that Assad, Nancy Pelosi’s buddy, is a dictator, and should be removed.  Actually, any and ALL dick-taters should be removed.  But here’s a real important question:  What will fill that void left by the removal of said bad guy?  Cuz “nature abhors a vacuum“.

In Paris, French government spokeswoman Valerie Pecresse said those killed were French photojournalist Remi Ochlik and American veteran war reporter Marie Colvin, who was working for Britain’s Sunday Times. France’s Foreign Minister, Alain Juppe, said the attacks show the “increasingly intolerable repression” by Syrian forces.

Such beings do not like having their power to control taken away, so they will kill anyone in their way, including journalists, no matter from where they hail.  Silencing the truth is the first step of any would be dick-tater.

The Obama administration opened the door slightly Tuesday to international military assistance for Syria’s rebels, with officials saying new tactics may have to be explored if President Bashar Assad continues to defy pressure to halt a brutal crackdown on dissenters that has raged for 11 months and killed thousands.

IF…and that’s a big IF….the ‘rebels’ were actually fighting to overthrow Assad’s regime in the quest for freedom, I could actually see a bit of help going to those who are fighting and dying for liberty.

The White House and State Department said they still hope for a political solution. But faced with the daily onslaught by the Assad regime against Syrian civilians, officials dropped the administration’s previous strident opposition to arming anti-regime forces. It remained unclear, though, what, if any, role the U.S. might play in providing such aid.

But here’s the problem with that idea: “Elements of al-Qaeda’s affiliates in Iraq have been moving into Syria to distribute weapons to the opposition and to carry out attacks against the regime of Bashar al-Assad, according to U.S. and Iraqi officials.” (source)  Now, I don’t know about y’all, but I have a HUGE problem with the U.S. gubmint aiding and abetting terrorists.  And that’s what they are y’know.  Terrorists!   For the purpose of creating terror in the lives of the innocent, typically NON muslim, but also those who aren’t ‘muslim enough’.

Isn’t the purpose of DHS to keep the homeland safe?  Well, y’all are failing miserably.  The border is NOT safer and we have criminals sneaking in on a regular basis.  So, instead of snooping conservative bloggers, how ’bout y’all get up off your collective hind ends, and get the damn criminals OUT of the country, and stop the terrorists from invading!  They really DO want to kill us y’know, and I’d be mighty grateful if y’all could put a stop to their entering through both the northern and southern borders! I have a great grandson on the way, and I’d really like to know he will be entering a safer nation.  Of course, I know that isn’t going to happen.  Why?  Because y’all can’t be bothered to protect our borders.  sigh….

Oh, and I’m quite aware y’all pop by at least once a month.  Nothing has changed on this end.  Any changes on your’s?  Naw…didn’t think so.  I sure will be glad when we finally get a REAL DHS after 1/20/13!
