An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
….and no, I hadn’t seen it before.
When Tyranny Knocks
by The Bunker
We live in a very peculiar, and confusing, culture. The media floods the airwaves with violence. The nation rolls from crisis to crisis with the threat of some kind of harm about to befall the average citizen. People live in a constant state of fear. And yet in the midst of all the calamities the government tells us we have no right to defend ourselves.
There is no reason to rehash the ins and outs of the second amendment. If you are able to read and understand English, then you understand the right to keep and bear arms.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms,
shall not be infringed.
If you turn off the talking heads in the news media, forget the entertainment shows and save the cash for a movie you would see the real problem. Our nation has moved from a Constitutional republic that understood and respected our individual Natural Rights to a collectivist ideology. If you really want to be afraid, be afraid of collectivists. They are killers. And they now control the Executive Branch and a large percentage of congress.
If you don’t know what the collectivist ideology is, just look back into history at the ideologies of the nation states that killed off large percentages of their population. They would be socialists, communists, Marxist, Leninist, Maoist’s, national socialists and fascists. These ideologies have accounted for approximately 170 million civilian deaths in the 20th century alone. These deaths did not happen in wars between governments. The people were murdered because of failed state policies, or just because they were a nuisance to the agenda of the state.
The people in power in this country who believe in collectivism know all about history. They have studied every detail of it. The president and his cabal are masters at the fine details of deceit and lying. They have to be. The final move into tyranny always requires burying the evidence of any resistance to the agenda.
So what do We The People do? Again history gives us the answer. Resistance is not futile, but it does require courage. If you are still looking to politicians for help, forget it. The overwhelming majority of them are cowards and they have no honor or guiding principled beliefs.
If you think courage, duty, honor, virtue, Freedom, Liberty and a belief in a force greater than yourself is antiquated thinking then please run to your bed and pull the covers over your head. Throughout human history, it always comes down to like minded individuals who will fight to defend and protect these principles.
During the first revolution the 7 to 10 percent of the colonists who fought carried with them a fire in their belly. It was the ember of Freedom and Liberty. It fed them when they were hungry and it kept them warm when they were cold. If you think this is foolish thinking for the 21st century then pull another blanket over your head. But, a blanket is lousy protection when tyranny is knocking on your door.
The Useless Numnuts really don’t understand Americans at all, nor, apparently, does this administration. Hmmm….
