Another Lost Generation of Americans
by J. D. Longstreet
Actually, they’re not lost geographically. We see them every day on the cable news channels and the evening news of the broadcast networks. This decade they call themselves the “Occupy Wall Street” Group. I believe they are lost, unrecoverable, as productive, patriotic, Americans. I’m no shrink, but I believe they will carry a degree of bitterness, for the reminder of their lives, as a result of America’s rejection of their attempt to force a socialist form of government on a nation of people who love freedom. The risk was theirs to take. History will record their failure — a failure they will never be able to put behind them. They will drag it like an anchor throughout their lifetime. They have made their choice and they now must live with the consequences.
These people have been around since Vladimir Lenin. They are espousing the socialist/communist line and they are SOOOOO DUMB they don’t have a clue they are being used by the shadowy figures organizing and financing their infantile protestations.
Those dirty, smelly, boorish, idiots are disposable tools of the leftist power brokers, themselves the mortal enemies of capitalists and democracy.
They are supported by the Communist Party, the Socialist Party, the Nazi Party, the Democratic Party …… . We should add the labor unions to this OUTSTANDING gaggle of anti-capitalist left-wingers.
They don’t know WHAT the want – but they want it NOW. It is the primal cry of an infant seeking attention.
If you are expecting anything good to come of the rent-a-riot crowd in our streets these days, you should reconsider. This whole “OWS” movement is going to end in disaster. This ain’t my first rodeo. I have seen this before. It always ends in tragedy.
As the shrillness of the demonstrators mounts, the public’s tolerance level will fall. At some point in the future, a tipping point will be reached and blood will be spilt and lives lost. It is the nature of clashes between groups of human beings. We call them wars, civil wars, insurrections, riots, Demonstrations, and at their inception – “protests.”
Read the rest of the commentary here.
I remember the “demonstrations” of the 60s and early 70s. Let’s face it, I was born during Eisenhower’s first term, so spring chicken I ain’t.
I knew people who joined in the protests, and some who got arrested. I knew young men who died in Vietnam. I knew some who came back, but were never the same. I never spat on a soldier, or demeaned their service, voluntary or drafted. I also understood that anger that gave rise to the anti-war demonstrations. Occasionally, I even agreed, mostly because I knew that Johnson totally screwed the whole thing up, and Nixon finished with our defeat. Many of those were out in the streets, didn’t have a clue, but they were there anyway because they hated the ‘establishment’, and wanted to destroy the American way of life.

Democrats Can’t Stand The TRUTH!
Tea party gets bad rap for telling truth
by Nolan Finley
Democrats have effectively turned “tea party” into a pejorative, making the words conjure a rigid, uncompromising movement that is at the root of Washington’s dysfunction.
You won’t hear a Democratic mouth open today without a slur against the tea party spilling out.
What are these Republican revolutionaries doing that Dems find so divisive and dangerous?
Best I can tell, their major offense is holding Washington accountable. Listen to them, as I did on Mackinac Island last week during the Republican Leadership Conference, and the only demand you hear is that politicians stop mortgaging America’s future to reckless spending and swelling deficits.
All they want is for politicians to finally do what both Democrats and Republicans always said they’d do — make the government live within its means — but never got around to doing until the tea party forced their hand.
In other words, the tea party is the adult in a roomful of overindulged children who resent the call to accountability. How much greater would the debt be today, how much larger the deficit, if the tea party hadn’t shouted, “Enough!”

You would think it would be real simple for any thinking person to figure out. However, apparently, Democrats and the left (but I repeat myself) are incapable of thinking rationally. They can only “feel”. And it seems they “feel” threatened by the U.S. Constitution, and being held accountable, like grownups, for their reckless actions.
They can call us names all they want, but it won’t change the facts.

I’m exactly what’s wrong with Barack Obama’s America
By Dr. Milton R. Wolf
My father used to tell me that if I worked hard, it would pay off in the long run. How could he have been so blind? Laziness pays off now!
We all know that the power to tax is the power to destroy. So too is the power to regulate. Equally powerful is the reality that rewarded behavior is repeated. After applying these inescapable truths to the analysis of Obamanomics, a collection of policies designed to reward or deter (or even outright banish) certain behaviors – to ordain winners and losers – it’s all clear to me now. The reason Obamanomics has been such a miserable failure is that I failed to follow its cues. I hope America will forgive me.

Laborious Day, 2011
By Ted Nugent
With 1 in 5 men not working and collecting unemployment benefits and who knows how many other Americans working for less pay than before, Labor Day 2011 should be called Unemployment and Underemployment Day.
The real purpose of Labor Day is a day for the Democratic Party to celebrate. Labor unions and their members are solidly in the Democratic camp. At every Democratic campaign rally, Big Labor is there.
The National teachers union (NEA), one of the nation’s largest unions, is a rock-solid supporter of the Democratic Party, as is every other large union. The NEA cares more about maintaining taxpayer-provided benefits for its members than ensuring our kids get a world-class education. On the NEA’s watch, test scores have plummeted and dropout rates have skyrocketed.

What A Hypocrite!
Obama ‘Disappoint-Mints’ Pulled After Lawmaker Complains
The University of Tennessee bookstore has quit selling packages of breath mints that satirize President Barack Obama after a state legislator complained
The box bears a picture of Obama and is labeled “disappoint-mints.” Officials pulled the product after Democratic state Rep. Joe Armstrong visited the bookstore and told the manager he found the mints offensive.
And of course, he found NO offense when the same store sold the same thing with Bush’s name on them. But THAT’S different, right? Can we say HYPOCRITE? Yep…I knew we could!

Do Democrats Hate Child Entrepreneurs?
New Castle councilman calls cops on boys’ cupcake sale
When Andrew DeMarchis and Kevin Graff, two 13-year-olds from Chappaqua’s Seven Bridges Middle School, set up shop at Gedney Park on a fall weekend last month, they were expecting a tidy profit.
Instead, the two wannabe entrepreneurs selling cupcakes, cookies, brownies and Rice Krispie treats baked by them for $1 apiece got a taste of cold, hard bureaucracy .
New Castle Councilman Michael Wolfensohn came upon the sale and called the cops on the kids for operating without a license.
The boys’ parents are incensed and can’t believe a Town Board member would handle the situation that way.
Why does THIS not surprise me?
Instead of being a total dipwad, the man could have just told the kids that, without a permit, they’d have to find another place other than a PUBLIC park to earn some money for their future.
They Are DEMOCRATS!
Most everyone has heard about the city council in the small town of Bell, CA. If you haven’t, you aren’t really paying attention. What city mayor earns $800,000 a year??? That is DOUBLE the salary of the President of the United States! Evidently Oscar Hernandez felt he was more important the any POTUS.
From Newsbusters:
Today, eight city council members were arrested in Bell, California for what Los Angeles County District Attorney labeled “corruption on steroids.” Thus far, every major news outlet that has reported on the story has omitted the fact that all eight individuals arrested are Democrats.
Now, why do you think the news reports that little tidbit? If they were Republicans, you can bet your eyeteeth it would have led ever sentence that was related to the story. But, since they were not Republicans, and in reality Democrats, so called journalists had to leave out that important FACT! In my opinion, they failed to include such a fact, because, they are all, in fact, Democrats themselves, and don’t like one of their own getting caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
You can pretty much guarantee, when no party affiliation is mentioned, the person in question is a DEMOCRAT!
It’s Bush’s Fault! ad nauseam
Political fables
by Thomas Sowell
President Barack Obama boldly proclaims, “The buck stops here!” But, whenever his policies are criticized, he acts as if the buck stopped with George W. Bush.
The party line that we are likely to be hearing from now until the November elections is that Obama “inherited” the big federal budget deficits and that he has to “clean up the mess” left in the economy by the Republicans. This may convince those who want to be convinced, but it will not stand up under scrutiny.
No President of the United States can create either a budget deficit or a budget surplus. All spending bills originate in the House of Representatives and all taxes are voted into law by Congress.
Democrats controlled both houses of Congress before Barack Obama became president. The deficit he inherited was created by the Congressional Democrats, including Senator Barack Obama, who did absolutely nothing to oppose the runaway spending. He was one of the biggest of the big spenders.
Read the whole column here.
I’m one of those people who is beyond sick of hearing “IT’S ALL BUSH’S FAULT!” I’m fairly sure I’m not the only one! Yeah, Bush was far from perfect, but then, is anyone perfect? Especially a politician? However, to consistently blame the previous administration for everything, is more than just childish. Immature, petulant, juvenile….I’m sure there are more words to describe such behavior, but I’m having a tough time coming up with appropriate words to describe what we’ve been seeing for the last 20 months.
Wow! I’m Really Important!
Dems launch effort to equate GOP with far right Tea Party candidates
Democrats have said they are running against George W. Bush this fall, or at least his policies. But on Wednesday, they’ll announce that they’re really running against the Tea Party.
Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine will argue at a morning news conference that “the positions espoused by the Tea Party [are] the governing platform of the Republican party,” according to a DNC official who relayed details of the rollout ahead of time to The Daily Caller.
So, not only are the Democrats are running against a president that has been out of the White House for 18 months, but the current resident as well? Not to mention, they are running against lil’ ol’ me? Seriously? Why didn’t they just announce they are running against the U.S. Constitution and all Americans who hold the principles of the Founders dear! Because that is what the Tea Parties are all about, you know. Basically, what I’m hearing here, is that the Democrats are running FOR all the things our forefathers fought AGAINST. I wonder….do they really think that’s a smart move?
Put Biden Back On His Meds
Biden defends fiscal policy in rallying Democrats
In a keynote address meant to bolster party activists ahead of midterm elections in November, Biden said the administration of President Barack Obama has turned around a declining economy and improved the United States’ standing in the world.
I know some Democrats, and I never thought they were so ignorant that they can’t see what’s smack dab in front of their faces. No, BHO has NOT “turned around the declining economy”. As a matter of fact, his policies have done more damage to the economy than I’ve ever seen in my lifetime, and that includes the Carter years. Businesses are NOT hiring because of the uncertainty of these policies. Oh, the gubmint is creating all kinds of jobs…..at the taxpayers expense…..gubmint jobs, paid for by the taxpayers. This is not economic recovery. And no, he has NOT “improved the United States standing in the world” either. The rest of the world is pretty much laughing at the joke that is the Obama administration.
Biden laid the blame for setbacks in Afghanistan and rising fiscal deficits at the feet of former President George W. Bush, whom he said had fought two wars, expanded drug benefits and cut taxes without finding ways to pay for his programs.
Seriously? Did he really say that???? ROFLMAO Well, some Dems might still be buying into the “it’s all Bush’s fault” mantra, but I’m really hoping that many are finally getting over their BDS. Biden evidently hasn’t. When the Democrats took over Congress, there had been 520 deaths of coalitions troops. From 2007 through 2008, there were 529, more than the previous years combines, even though GWB was still CoC. In 2009, when Barack Hussein Obama took office, through today, in 2010, approximately 18 months, there have been 876 deaths. You do the math. So, tell me again Joe…..who is to blame for the setbacks? The extremists laugh at the lack of leadership.
Now, about those deficits. Again……ROFLMAO! We had 43 presidents before B. Hussein came on the scene, and combined, they couldn’t run up the deficits like one single phony POTUS, and his minions in Congress, has. Seriously Joe, get on the meds. You are surely in NEED of a little chemical aid to remove your head from you hinder! Now, I’m not defending Bush. He was no where near the conservative many thought him to be, but compared to D’Bama? He’s a regular Ronald Reagan and Maggie Thatcher, rolled into one!
Styled as a campaign convention rather than the party’s usual dinner, speakers made scant mention of Democratic-led health-care reform. Instead, they focused on an economy that they said had been strengthened by moves such as the Wall Street reform bill and the federal stimulus bill.
I’ll lay dollars to doughnuts that not a one of ‘em at that dinner has read any of the aforementioned bills. They might have browsed the HC bill, which is why it wasn’t touted as an ‘accomplishment’. And I will repeat, the economy has NOT been strengthened. Some folks are doing ok, but many more are not. Why invest in your business, hoping for growth, when the government turns around and regulates you into the ground? I sure as hell would be investing MY profits in something that may have me, and my employees, living on the streets in the not too distant future.
“When President (Bill) Clinton and I left office, we had some of the biggest surpluses we had ever had,” former Vice President Al Gore said. “In eight years, all of that was squandered.”
The Dems are still claiming this lying weasel? Shame on them. tsk tsk tsk What the ol’ Boracle didn’t mention, was that it was a Republican run Congress that put those numbers on paper, NOT him, and NOT Clinton. Once again, compared to BHO, Bill Clinton is a conservative. Thank goodness that fool LOST the election in 2000!
Like their federal counterparts, state leaders stressed fiscal responsibility. Several praised Bredesen’s management of the state budget and his economic development policies, which they said had brought jobs to the state and placed Tennessee among the best-managed states in the country.
I guess they probably didn’t mention that Bredesen is a FISCAL CONSERVATIVE, did they. Of course not. As I’ve said before, as Democrats go, Phil Bredesen isn’t so bad.
They also used the opportunity to stress their three main goals — holding onto the two seats in the U.S. Congress being vacated by retiring Democratic Reps. Bart Gordon and John Tanner, electing Jackson businessman Mike McWherter governor and winning back the majority in the state House that they lost two years ago.
I really hope they aren’t counting on this happening. Both Tanner and Gordon KNEW they were going to get kicked out of Congress by the voters in their districts, so why the blazes would said voters elect carbon copies? That just wouldn’t make any sense. Of course, a lot of things voters have done recently haven’t made much sense, so I’m not going to make any predictions. Just pray REAL hard!
The speeches made clear that they see their chances as being closely tied to the fortunes of Democrats nationwide in this November’s midterm elections.
Tennessee Dems shouldn’t really tie their hopes to something else, and not the rest of the nation. From what I’ve seen, the House Majority leader will NOT have a “D” tagging onto the back of his or her name. All the pretty speeches from anyone can NOT change facts. The Democrats, since taking control, have spend this country into poverty, they have used the U.S. Constitution as toilet paper, and have completely ignored the will of the MAJORITY of the voters. Big issues this year, as it should be every year, is the tax and spend policies of big government, the security of the nation, and the rights granted to the citizens by GOD!
“Trickle Up”?
Things are heating up in the Tennessee Governor’s race. Three major Republican candidates in the primary, and one Democrat.
Wamp and Ramsey dispute the notion that Haslam has earned consideration as the party front-runner and even McWherter was trying to stay neutral about his possible competition.
Personal opinion, the only thing I see as putting Haslam in the front is his numerous commercials. He’s got some good ones, but good commercials doesn’t mean that he’d be a good governor, does it? Shoot, D’Bama had some good commercials, and look how that turned out.
But McWherter’s campaign has gone so far as to put out press releases specifically criticizing Haslam, and early in his morning appearance Tuesday, McWherter was attacking Haslam without saying his name by asserting the economic challenge facing the state “requires more of a candidate than simply juggling your statistics on TV ads to inflate your accomplishments.”
Don’t all politicians do that? Well, HONEST ones don’t. Honest politicians…..oxymoron? Yeah….I think so too. I’d prefer HONEST PUBLIC SERVANTS!
At another point, McWherter derided “trickle-down” economic theory, saying he subscribes to “trickle up” whereby first helping “working families” leads to greater prosperity. In recent weeks, Haslam’s campaign has promoted an endorsement from President Reagan’s economics policy advisor, Arthur Laffer, one of the strongest proponents of “trickle-down” or “supply side” economics.
Typical Democrat. The man doesn’t have a clue where jobs come from, and for some reason, he thinks he’d make a good Governor? Trickle up? Seriously? In order for those families to be working, there have to be jobs. For jobs, you need those “evil” rich men, and corporations. Working families don’t create jobs. No offense, but they don’t.
Contrary to what some on the left (aka Democrats) think, conservatives aren’t heartless. We DO care about the poor and needy. We just don’t believe it’s the government’s job to take care of them. It’s not “Charity begins in Washington, D.C.” or “Nashville”. No, it’s ‘Charity begins at home’. Home is family, church, neighbors, and community. NOT gubmint! “Trickle up”? Give me a flippin’ break!
More Stupidity On Display
House Approves Financial Overhaul; Senate Vote Awaits
The House of Representatives has passed a sweeping overhaul of financial regulations, setting the stage for a final vote in the Senate where votes for the far-reaching bill remained in flux.
The party-line vote came after Democrats backed down from a $19 billion tax of major banks and hedge funds in hopes of securing Senate Republican votes.
I don’t know why anyone would need more proof that the Democrats are dead set on destroying every single thing they put their hand to, but here it is…..one more indication they have NO idea what the hell they are doing!
Cut the Waste!
Don’t you find it interesting that the same people who vote to take over your lives, and spend our grandchildren into oblivion, can’t be bother to vote FOR cutting wasteful spending? Not surprising, but extremely interesting. This tells me they don’t give a happy crap about your grandchildren, or even their own, for that matter. Just tells me they enjoy power so much, they don’t realize they are going to lose it in the not too distant future.

States’ rights debate concerns some African-Americans
Looking for ways to block the new federal health-care reform law, opponents ranging from state lawmakers to tea party activists have resurrected the notion of states’ rights.
But that idea has rattled African-American leaders in Nashville and elsewhere. They say the term is freighted with deeper meaning since it was once used to justify slavery, and more recently, segregation.
“I’ve always been against the idea of states’ rights,” said the Rev. James Thomas, a veteran of the civil rights movement and pastor at Jefferson Street Baptist Church. “If blacks had depended on states’ rights we’d still be eating outdoors and trying to picket at these diners.
“States’ rights has never been friends to black America. And when I hear that, because I’m of the 1960s … I know what states’ rights has done for us.”
DEMOCRATS have been all for enslaving blacks for a long time, so I question why anyone would want to continue another form of slavery? Total dependence of the government.
