Osama and Obama on global warming
Discredited climate theories make strange bedfellows
In his State of the Union address last week, President Obama said there was “overwhelming scientific evidence on climate change.” In his most recent message to the world, Osama bin Laden said that climate change “is not an intellectual luxury but an actual fact.” It’s nice to see these two leaders can agree on something.
The hitch is that the man-caused catastrophic global warming theory is dead, and it needs to be buried. Evidence had been mounting for years that there were problems with the global warming model; most telling was that the globe refused to warm up. Carbon emissions continued apace, but the world began cooling. This is why true believers abandoned the “global warming” brand name and tried to shift the debate to the more ambiguous label “climate change,” which is something the rest of us like to refer to as “weather.”
I, and a great many others, have been trying to bring those algore acolytes back to reality. It just hasn’t been working. I guess they, including Obama and Osama, just hate humans, and the U.S. so much, they would rather see it destroyed, than admit someone has been spoon feeding the masses large doses of ka-ka!
You see, the planet cools, you get winter. The planet warms up, you have summer. The tectonic plates shift, there are earthquakes. The planet will do what it’s been doing for millions of years, and there’s not one single thing we can do about it. Arrogance is a dangerous and ugly thing, and the arrogance of the “global warming/climate change” brigade is one of the more dangerous to the planet, and mankind itself.
For the President of the United States and the world’s most wanted, and evil, terrorist to agree on the subject is quite telling. Neither have a clue how the planet actually works. That was something I learned in elementary school. Shame neither of them did.
LARGE Pile
Axelrod Not Surprised by Alito Gesture at State of the Union
A top White House adviser says it’s gotten to the point where almost any unusual reaction or outburst to a speech by President Barack Obama in the House chamber isn’t really that unusual.
Obama aide David Axelrod was talking about Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s reaction to Obama’s State of the Union address last week.
The justice made a dismissive face, shook his head repeatedly and appeared to mouth the words “not true” or possibly “simply not true” when Obama criticized the high court over a campaign finance ruling.
Axelrod says that “in this weird political season, we have become accustomed to unusual outbursts” in the House during presidential speeches.
Perhaps if we didn’t have a Clown in Chief who was constantly spewing such large piles of male bovine excrement on a regular basis, there wouldn’t be such reactions to his blatherings!
Where Are The Grown Ups?
While sitting around, waiting for the sun to come back out, I was perusing a variety of news sites. I came across an opinion piece in The Telegraph that peaked my interest, so I read it. One paragraph in particular put my ears back.
But there is an even more significant distinction between the British and American scenes. The great mistake that Mr Obama is now believed to have made in his first year of office was to have ignored the concerns of the American middle-income population. This misjudgment has counted against him in a quite spectacular way, because no mature political leader of any party should have made it. It is engraved on the consciousness of all ambitious politicians in the US that the most basic principles of national life are rooted in the ethic of the confident, demanding, easily provoked middle class. What Mr Obama referred to repeatedly as “American values” in his speech to Congress are really the values of this class: self-reliance, self?improvement, industriousness – and, as the Obama White House has found to its cost, antipathy to being bossed around by Big Government.
Mature? One thing Barack Hussein Obama is NOT is mature. He’s more like a kid on Christmas morning who isn’t satisfied with the huge pile of present under the tree, and wants more, throwing a tantrum when told that is IT! Due to such bad behavior, mom and dad are now removing said presents, packing them up to return to the store. We are ‘mom and dad’, and are fed up with the little hooligan’s tantrums.
It has always been apparent to those who were actually paying attention that this man was not the right one for the job. Hell, I would have preferred Hillary Clinton to this toddler. At least she has a little common sense, and political savvy.
Obama bullied his way into the White House. Perhaps it’s time for We, THE PEOPLE, to bully his sorry self right back out. Or, at least, make sure he can’t do much more damage past the 2010 elections, and hopefully, reverse some of the damage already done!
State of the Union?
Well, it sucks! Big time! No matter what Obummer says, he owns the current state of affairs. That being said, I’m linking a few items for your perusal while the Mr and I are out, enjoying the sun, swinging through the trees like Tarzan and Jane….in their doddering years!
Obama, the god that failed
The Washington Times
President Obama said Monday that he would “rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president.” He will be lucky if he’s not an abject failure. There’s usually a reason for a presidency lasting a single term, as Mr. Obama’s slow-motion train wreck is demonstrating.
Mr. Obama took office with historically high approval ratings based on a combination of hope for his administration, reaction against President George W. Bush’s second-term unpopularity and a degree of irrational exuberance, best illustrated by Newsweek editor Evan Thomas’ cultish image of Mr. Obama “standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God.” For his first 100 days, Mr. Obama’s approval rating remained relatively high, and the percentage of Americans thinking the country was on the right track grew from about 10 percent the previous October to more than 40 percent.
Obama: “I’m from the government, and I am here to help you!”
J. D. Longstreet
The Obama Regime has set it sites on America’s Middle Class. And it has scared the bejesus out of them! You can almost hear the cries emanating from the Middle Class… “Please, Mr. President, STOP helping us!!!”
But that is not going to happen until Americans isolate Obama in the White House by ousting his congressional supporters in the Mid-Term Election this coming November.
President Obama Is Right, We Have A Spending Problem
The Foundry
Tonight in his State of the Union address, President Barack Obama is expected to propose a “freeze” on government spending. Obama’s spending “freeze” will only last three years, will not start until 2011, will only apply to a $447 billion slice of the federal government’s $3.5 trillion budget, and will not apply to any of the unspent $862 billion stimulus plan, his health care plan or the House of Representatives’ additional $156 billion stimulus plan. Despite all the loopholes, time limits and procrastination, the President should still be commended for beginning to acknowledge reality. And as a new report issued yesterday by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) shows, the reality is this: the U.S. government has an insatiable spending problem.
That should keep ya busy for a while. Discuss among yourselves. If we don’t fall to our deaths, I’ll be back.
Yeah…What He Said
The Failed Presidency of B. H. Obama
by J. D. Longstreet
A conservative friend, early on in the presidential campaign of Obama, informed me that the man was an empty suit. There was no “THERE” there, my friend insisted. I was assured Obama was, and is, running a con game on the American people.
Now that I, along with all of America and the world, have had a chance to observe the man in action (actually, that should be “INACTION”… about the only action we have seen from him is his mouth moving during those hundreds of speeches he made over the past year) I have to admit there was more than a little truth to what my friend said. So far as getting anything done, well, what did he DO?
There can be no question Obama’s presidency is a failure. In my opinion Obama is a phony. He ain’t that smart and he ain’t that articulate. Take away the TelePrompTer and the man is clueless.

Obama: Our Cold and Distant President
by J. D. Longstreet
Remember how the press was insisting during the 2008 presidential campaign, that Obama was sooo coooool? Oh, yeah, “cool, man, cool!”
Got news for you. He ain’t “cool.” He’s “C O L D!” And he is “distant” to boot.
We tried to tell you the man was, and is, a Narcissist. EVERYTHING is about him. He is cold toward everyone else because no one besides him, of course, has any value.
I’ve noticed recently in his speeches, he refers to “MY” national Security Team. “My” director of whatever department…. and so on. The emphasis is on “MY”. And that is the way our president is. Hey, THIS is the guy with his finger on the Nuclear Button!
OHMYGAWED! What have we done??
Is It Wrong Of Me To Laugh?
If Obama’s image isn’t suppose to be used for commercial purposes, then why is it being used around the world?

A Sham Of A Process For A Sham Of A Bill
The Foundry
Speaking at a town hall meeting on August 21, 2008, in Chester, Virginia, then-candidate Barack Obama promised the American people: “I’m going to have all the negotiations around a big table. We’ll have doctors and nurses and hospital administrators. Insurance companies, drug companies … what we will do is, we’ll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents … And so, that approach, I think is what is going to allow people to stay involved in this process.” The participants around Obama’s fictional big table may have changed depending on where he was speaking, but throughout his campaign the essential promise was always there: “negotiations televised on C-SPAN.”

Over The Edge
Time To Focus On Threats, Not Launching Political Amnesty Fight
As if the Obama Administration and DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano didn’t have enough tough issues to handle with the total failure of the post-9/11 system to keep a terrorist with a bomb off our airplanes, the LA Times reports that the Obama Administration is more committed than ever to push for amnesty in 2010. That is madness.
Let’s take a step back and consider where things stand.
First, the economy remains on very fragile ground with millions of Americans out of work, the next pack of home foreclosures to hit, and deficits as far as the eye can see. Add on top of this the half a trillion dollars in new health care taxes, and trillions more in cap and trade energy taxes, and things could get much, much, worse.
Let’s not forget the battle still to be waged over moving all of the terrorists from Gitmo to Illinois, as well as the delivery of some terrorists to Yemen. With reports out that the Christmas Day terrorist had help from at least two terrorists formally held at Gitmo, the Obama Administration will face a growing fight from the Congress and the American people on the issue.
Finally, there are still two wars going on in Iraq and Afghanistan. The announced surge in Afghanistan will pose serious challenges for President Obama and his national security team. We pray his long-delayed action is wildly successful.
Of course, there are other pressing items not noted above, but I think you get the point. There are more than enough items in play that injecting one of the most divisive political issues into the arena is sheer madness.
Read the rest here.
Madness is a rather mild way of putting it. Pure, unadulterated, insanity, with a heavy dose of megalomania thrown in for good measure.
Need An Eight Minute Nap?
BTW, climate change is NOT a phenomena! It happens. It’s been happening for eons. It also happens four times a year. They are called seasons.
I Must Have Missed Something
Was I asleep when the unemployment rate went below 5%? Or perhaps the war in Afghanistan was declared a victory? Was there a complete turn around in the economy and no one told me? Did Washington finally come clean and admit they are full of male bovine excrement, and are as useless as teats on a boar?
President Obama Gives Himself A B-plus Grade
President Barack Obama, in an interview that aired Sunday, gave himself “a good solid B-plus” grade for his first year in office.
Speaking with fellow Chicagoan Oprah Winfrey, the president claimed progress on economic and international fronts.
Obama said the only thing that stands in the way of giving himself a better grade is the fact that some elements of his agenda – health care reform and putting more Americans to work – remain undone.
“The biggest burden on me right now is that economic growth has happened, but job growth has not happened,” Obama told Winfrey on the ABC special.
On the plus side, Obama said, “We are on our way out of Iraq.” And, he added, “I think we’ve got the best possible plan for Afghanistan.”
No doubt about it. I’ve stepped into a parallel universe where we actually have a leader in the White House, and all is well with the world.
As Spencer Hughes said, “I’d Hate To See What a “D” Looks Like“!
I challenge defenders of the President’s high self imposed grade to SHOW me what he has done exactly to deserve it.
I’m waiting…If you can’t answer off the cuff, I am on the radio for 10 hours a week. You are more than welcome to share the myriad of things on your list then.
In the meantime, it looks like the American people are the only real ones able to grade the President.
And they just gave him the worst first year ratings of any President in history.
This is one report card that I wouldn’t be running home to mom and dad to boast about.
There was a time when I didn’t believe anyone could ever top Jimmah Cartah as the worst president in my lifetime. I was wrong. Cartah is now the second worst.

Q&A on Afghanistan
Top Ten Questions and Answers on Obama’s Strategy in Afghanistan
President Barack Obama will announce his new Afghanistan policy tonight at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York. Some news organizations have reported that President Obama will send anywhere from 30,000 to 34,000 additional troops to the region. To get you prepared for tonight’s announcement, The Heritage Foundation answers some of the most asked questions about President Obama’s proposal.
1. If the President sends 35,000 more troops to Afghanistan, does that count as a “surge?”
Simply put, no, because the use of that term implies an Iraq-like strategy of ramping up forces to the maximum of what the generals are requesting. It has been widely reported that General McChrystal’s assessment for additional troops to achieve maximum chance of success was between 60,000 and 80,000 troops. While the President’s decision is better than no new troops at all, it falls short of that assessment. Additionally, the White House plans to add troops over time as it sees fit, and not necessarily “surge” forces for maximum affect. We hope that the President’s far riskier strategy succeeds. If it does not, we must remember the options he had available to him before this decision. He had the chance to turn this war around; if he does not, the result will be his responsibility alone.
2. Is tonight’s announcement of a strategy the result of a thoughtful, deliberative process?
The delay in making a decision is inexcusable. Given that President Obama has been in office over 10 months; was privy to extensive briefings on the Afghan situation before that; the many months General McChrystal has been on the job; and the critical situation on the ground, the delay has put the mission and American soldiers in graver jeopardy. If McChrystal originally asked for 40,000 troops, as the White House would like you to believe, it is incomprehensible to believe that it took many months to simply lower that number by 5,000.
