Bringing Back Sanity

Obviously, not everyone is Wisconsin is a complete and utter moron. Only those who subscribe to the ‘gimmee now’ mentality of the far left loons, aka the Madison and Milwaukee areas, seem to think bringing back jobs to the states, and asking public UNION employees to contribute to their own health care and retirement, have a major problem with a man who is working in the best interest of the ENTIRE state, instead of just the unionistas. :?   They should probably move out to California, since that state apparently has the whole progressive/socialist/commie thing down pat, and is sinking farther and farther into debt because of their compliance with the stupid, and selfish.  Just sayin’.

Big Primary Day In Wisconsin

Today is primary day in Wisconsin to see which moronic, lying, cheating, self centered Democrat (but I repeat myself) will be Scott Walker’s opponent in the ridiculous, and totally union thug run recall election.  Will it be Tom Barrett, who lost to Walker in 2010 by a 52-47 margin?  He seems to be leading in the polls.  Possibly Kathleen Falk, another hack that has, apparently, never lived in the real world, residing in the Land of Oz, aka Madison, running it into the ground as county executive.

Isn’t it odd that since Walker has been in office, the unemployment rate has dropped?  What happened to all those morons shouting at the Capital about how people were going to lose their jobs? From 7.6 to 6.8 (Mar ’11-Mar ’12).  It helps if your state has a business friendly atmosphere, which Walker has been trying to create.  Many school systems have been able to actually SAVE money through Gov. Walker’s budget reforms.  Unfortunately, the BIG union districts failed miserably.  Many teachers ended up losing their jobs. Why?  Well, let’s just say that selfish union thugs don’t give a damn about what’s best for the kids that they are entrusted to ‘educate’.  Wait a minute!  Isn’t that what the morons who banged drums and behaved like animals in the Capital said Walker’s budget would do?  Cost teachers their jobs?  It appears they are just as stupid as they appeared on the idjit box.

In the long run, this whole recall BS isn’t about ‘children suffering’, or job loss.  It’s about union power.  Plain and simple.  The years of Dopey Jim Doyle put the state into a financial disaster that only a person of strong character, and TRUE concern for the state could pull it out of, yet the unions have spend a fortune spreading the most absurd lies about the man.  And unfortunately for Wisconsin, the ill informed have bought into the crap being spewed.  You hear utter nonsense about how the Koch brothers bought Scott Walker.  Excuse me while I clean off my monitor.  Spewing coffee from laughter y’know.  Who is buying whom?  Well, let’s look, shall we?

Yep!  You Wisconsin union members are getting the shaft!  Is this why you pay your dues, voluntarily or forced?  I always thought those unions dues were for the members benefit, NOT the top echelon who want more and more power. But don’t forget, they also use the money you work for, and pay into as dues, for resorts trips (and let’s not forget the resort that was/is? owned by the fattest union of all)….not for you, who actually earned the money, but for those who having been sucking the life out of the U.S. economy for decades. Think Detroit.

Your head honchos are living high off the hog from your money, and yet, you continue to get out there and make total jackasses of yourselves…for THEIR benefit, NOT yours!  Please note the area where your dues is being spent.  Politics.  To say that the Koch’s are pouring money into politics is down right laughable.  More than half a BILLION dollars compared to 12 million over the course of, what….23 years?  In one state?  Come on people, snap out of it!  I know you can’t all be that damn ignorant!  Or, maybe you can.  I’ve seen some of the comments made by the leftard union thugs.  Logic does NOT enter into the conversation….only talking points and hysteria.  My goodness.  Grow up!

If Wisconsinites really love their state, as so many claim, then why on earth would you want to destroy it by electing another Dopey Doyle (totally owned by unions, especially WEAC).  Is it so much to ask for teachers, and other government employees, to actually contribute their own money, instead of the taxpayers, to their own health care and retirement?  Government employees work for the people.  The people spoke when they elected Scott Walker.  Get over it!  Stop throwing 2 year old tantrums!  If you aren’t happy with something, then go about it in the proper manner, instead making asses of yourselves, and showing the entire world just how totally ignorant, selfish, and childish Americans are…..especially UNION states.  Get over your gimme mentality…it is NOT all about YOU!  And you are NOT entitled to diddly!  Especially not OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY!  But then, that’s the way of the communists, isn’t it.

This election isn’t just about the survival of Wisconsin.  No, this election is about the survival of the United States.  Governor Walker has brought Wisconsin back from the brink, and the rest of the country needs to follow in his footsteps…not the footsteps of Lenin and Stalin!  Scott Walker is the best thing to happen to Wisconsin in a VERY long time!  Use YOUR brain, not the union/commies’!

A Wee Bit Of History

Socialists and their comrades in the unions believe that human life is cheap and that people are merely “matter in motion,” explaining the litany of murders and atrocities committed by union operatives. Without the basis of respect for an individual’s right to life, it logically follows that they also lack respect for property rights:

• In 1905, Governor Frank Steunenberg (D-Idaho) was assassinated by members of the militant Western Federation of Miners, due to his refusal to cave to their demands.
• In 1990, the Teamsters Union in New York City struck against the New York Daily News, and pelted replacement drivers with bricks, rocks, and baseball bats, and one Teamster was charged with transporting Molotov cocktails.
• In 1991, Steelworkers Local 5668 in West Virginia was found responsible for committing over 700 act of violence against strikebreakers, including two house bombings, six house shootings, four arsons, and 43 death threats.
• In 1993, 16,000 members of the United Mine Workers went on strike in West Virginia. Non-union subcontractor Eddie York refused to walk out, and was shot in the head by union thugs. Callously endorsing the murder, Richard Trumka (now head of the AFL-CIO, and widely known as Obama’s puppet-master), said “if you strike a match and put your finger in, common sense tells you you’re going to burn your finger.”
• In 1997, Teamsters Local 769 in Miami ordered a strike against UPS, and UPS driver Rod Carter, refusing to strike, was stopped and stabbed with an ice pick while on his route. Another driver testified that union bosses sanctioned the stabbing.
• In 2005, Andrew Shomers of Laborers Union Local 91 in Buffalo, N.Y. pleaded guilty to vandalizing local housing authority offices and firebombing workers on an asbestos-removal project.

So it isn’t surprising that, as Wisconsin talk radio host Charles Sykes reports, there is “growing intimidation and escalating threats of violence” in Madison.

Yesterday, 15 Republican state senators received a chilling, death threat-laden email from a union supporter. The Daily Caller has reprinted that email. Here’s the text:

Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your families will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks.

Please explain to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families, then it will save the rights of 300,000 people, and also be able to close the deficit that you have created. I hope you have a good time in hell. Read below for more information on possible scenarios in which you will die…

We have also built several bombs that we have placed in various locations around the areas in which we know that you frequent. This includes: your house, your car, the state capitol, and well, I won’t tell you all of them because that’s just no fun…

Please make your peace with God as soon as possible and say goodbye to your loved ones. [W]e will not wait any longer. YOU WILL DIE!!!!

There’s a reason I call them “union thugs”.

Failing Our Kids

Unions have failed our kids, yet it is the unions who keep insisting they know best?  This person thinks she knows what is best for our children than we do?  Ever want to just smack the dogfire outta someone? I have that urge right now!  A system that has less than a 50% graduation rate, isn’t one I’d want my grandkids attending school!  How that broad can sit there, and say such things, with a straight face, is beyond comprehension.  But that’s the left for ya….totally irrational!

Obama’s Friends Win Big in Budget
The Foundry

You don’t need to log on to President Barack Obama’s Facebook page to find out who his friends are, and you don’t need to read tea leaves, gaze into a crystal ball, or consult a psychic to learn where his priorities lie. No, you only have to take a look at his 2013 budget, just released on Monday, to see what kind of company the president keeps and to what extent he will go to lend his pals a helping hand.

The folks seated at the president’s head table haven’t changed much in the past few years — the only difference is how much is being served up in the taxpayer-funded buffet. As in the past, the president has plenty of handouts for his big labor buddies. His budget delivers a fourth consecutive annual deficit exceeding $1 trillion — and that spending goes to yet another round of not-so-shovel-ready construction projects and government “investments” totaling $178 billion. Heritage’s Patrick Knudsen writes that the spending includes the president’s favored road, bridge, and school construction projects, but “then they go alarmingly beyond the usual ‘infrastructure’ arguments to fund teachers’ pay.” In other words, unions representing the construction site and the classroom win big.

An Expensive Reality

1 February 2012, 9:18 am. 6 Comments. Filed under Opinion.

Unless you have been living under a rock, this is not new news. All you have to do is look at the situation in Wisconsin, where Governor Walker is doing his best to rein in spending, having state union employees pay more of THEIR fair share of their own expenses, like health insurance and pension. The idea that anyone, especially “public servants”, state and federal, are entitled to live off the taxpayers income for the rest of their lives is ludicrous!

Federal Workers Overpaid, and CBO Agrees
The Foundry

Here’s some news that federal bureaucrats in Washington — and indeed around the country — don’t want to hear: According to a Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report released this week, federal workers are paid higher than their private-sector counterparts.

The “alarming news” hit the national media yesterday, but there’s a funny thing about the report. None of it is really “news” — in fact, The Heritage Foundation long ago uncovered the truth about federal pay. The CBO’s report this week was spurred in part by two years of work on federal compensation conducted by Heritage the American Enterprise Institute.

Democrats: The Only Thing Standing Between Organized Labor and Irrelevance

Although purporting to be the party that supports workers’ rights, the Democrats have risen in unified opposition to guaranteeing American laborers one of their most fundamental freedoms: the ability to choose whether or not to join a union. For instance, the Democratic Governor of New Hampshire, John Lynch, vetoed a previous right-to-work bill passed overwhelmingly by his state’s legislature.

Even President Obama has injected himself into these local disputes, claiming: “When I hear some of these folks trying to pass so-called ‘right to work’ laws for private sector workers, that really means the right to work for less and less and less. When I hear some of this talk, I know this is not about economics. This is about politics.”

Read the whole post at Big Government.

I’ve never hidden my opinion of unions or of the Democrat Party, and I’m not about to start now!  :?   Contrary to what they would like the public believe, neither entities give a flying flip about the ‘little guy’, the middle class, or anyone at all for that matter.  It’s all about power and control with those two, and they walk hand in hand.  Oh, Obama spins a pretty picture, full of rainbow farting unicorns, but it’s all a huge fantasy, with major ulterior motives…..control.  The unions?  Well, the dues paying members have been fed a bill of goods, and none at the top have the actual working person’s best interests at heart.  As a matter of fact, unions are one of the reasons so many companies have sent their manufacturing operations overseas.

Both the Democrats and the unions promote violence towards anyone who would stand in the way of their ultimate goals.  POWER!  Once they get what they want, the “little people” will be nothing but tools for them use to keep control of the masses.  Time to snap out of the Dem stupor, and start thinking for yourselves!

Union Thugs VS A Man’s RIGHT To Work

South Carolinians Have a Right to Work
The Foundry

This week, all eyes are on South Carolina as the Palmetto State votes on Saturday in the next Republican presidential primary contest. Jobs and the economy are rightly being debated by the entire political spectrum.

It’s not the first time in the past year that South Carolina has been center stage when it comes to jobs in a country struggling to get back on its feet. Last year, the Obama Administration took aim at Boeing when the Seattle-based company sought to build a new assembly plant in Charleston, South Carolina, in order to produce the 787 Dreamliner. Enter the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), which filed a complaint against Boeing alleging that the company decided to build the plant in South Carolina out of retaliation for union strikes at its Washington state facilities.

At the center of the issue was the fact that South Carolina is one of 22 right-to-work states, meaning that workers there have the freedom to decide whether to join a union or not. Right-to-work laws block companies from firing workers for not paying union dues, thereby protecting employees’ right to work regardless of their support for unions. In the case of Boeing, the Obama Administration — by way of the NLRB — sought to prevent the company from making fundamental decisions about where to do business, all because it wanted to open a plant in a right-to-work state. (Ultimately, the NLRB dropped the case after union negotiators reached a deal that benefited their members in a union state.)

Disturbing

Hyundai Elantra wins North American Car of Year; Range Rover Evoque wins truck honor

The Hyundai Elantra edged out the Ford Focus and Volkwagen Passat Monday to win the 2012 North American Car of the Year award.

The prestigious industry award was announced at the start of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, which hosts media previews this week and opens to the public on Saturday.

Does anyone else find this disturbing?  A foreign car company, in contention with only one US company, and another foreign company, for the “North AMERICAN Car of the Year”?  Come to think of it, just where is the Focus actually built?  I know there are still a few car manufacturing places in the U.S.  Well, at least some of ‘em are put together here.

We were once the manufacturing mecca.  Now, thanks to union thugs, and their ever increasing demands, many companies have had no choice but to move their companies to foreign shores.  The way things sit right now, anything built in the U.S. is beyond the budgets of a majority of Americans.  And folks wonder where all the jobs went?  Pfft!  Why would anyone want to buy anything built by a bunch of overpaid, whining thugs, who really don’t have to actually WORK for their benefits, or save for their own retirement like folks in the real world, is beyond me.

At one point in time, considering the horrible conditions of workers in this country, there was a serious need for someone to stand up for them, to keep them safe from all the new technology of the 19th, and early 20th centuries.  Now, we have many laws that protect the workers, and there is really NO need for unions.  Seeing the continued decline of the U.S., why aren’t those same folks who fought for the safety of the common man worried about concerned about whether or not said common man even has a job anymore?  Instead of being concerned with safety issues, the union thugs are taking over our government, aided and abetted by the POTUS.  Anyone else see a conflict of interest here?

Wouldn’t it be nice to see quality goods “Made in the U.S.A.” again?

Greedy Unions Destroy Businesses

Stop Obama’s Big Union Onslaught
The Foundry

What does it take to bring an airline to its knees? Uncompetitive union-negotiated labor contracts and a fundamental unwillingness to recognize that in a down economy, unions have a hard time raising wages without destroying jobs.

That was a lesson that unions refused to learn in the case of American Airlines, which yesterday announced that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, making it the last large U.S. full-fare airline to seek court protection from creditors. American was forced to take that action when the airline pilots union refused to budge on its demands for massive signing bonuses and wage increases. The airline’s competitors are flying high in profits after restructuring union contracts in their own bankruptcy proceedings.

Unions also didn’t learn any lessons after taxpayers bailed out General Motors and Chrysler, and then-White House “auto-czar” Ron Bloom gave the UAW preferential treatment in the restructuring process despite their contracts being largely at fault.

And, this is a lesson that still has not penetrated the walls of the Obama White House. The President’s appointees to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) want businesses to be unionized at all costs, even if it means harming both workers and the economy. They’re trying to make it happen by ramming through measures that would help expand unionization in America.

Union Of The Clueless

While doing a bit of snooping around Facebook, I came across this comment that was left on the AFL-CIO page. No, I didn’t “like” ‘em, but sometimes, you can read what is on certain pages. Since this was a big UNION page, obviously, there are union folks. However, there are others who hit ‘like’ just so they can comment, and hopefully, set a few folks straight. Evidently, some folks just can’t be taught. This fellow, for instance (copied & pasted, verbatim):

GOP has controlled congress now for a couple years,so why haven’t they created any jobs? They don’t have any interest in creating jobs. All there after is making PRESIDENT OBAMA look bad until the next election. How is this helping one without a job? Shameful, politics is more important than the unemloyed! I think people must realize what is going on and the radical rightwing has to go!

I guess this guy isn’t aware that the Democrats were the majority in both the House and the Senate from 2006 to 2010. They were in total control, gaining the White House, from 2008 to 2010. One thing that stands out from his comment, other than spelling issues, is the fact he isn’t aware that the Congress does NOT create jobs. No one has bothered to inform Obama of this fact either, since he keeps using it as a talking point. No one is making Obama “look bad” except Obama himself. His policies have pushed this nation farther into debt, stifling any new business with absurd regulations, causing anyone who would like to hire, or expand their business a bad case of the jitters. No confidence in the future prevents those who actually do create jobs from taking risks. Why should they?

Now, for that “radical rightwing” nonsense. How radical is it for the everyday people to insist that their government actually follow the Constitution? I am going to step out on a limb, and say this guy has probably never read the whole document. It’s only 4 pages long, and isn’t really that hard to understand. It limits the government, not the people.  Limiting what the government can take from your paycheck is radical?  Expecting the government to do the job it was designed to do, like keep our borders secure, is radical?  It really isn’t that complicated, yet if you listen to the media, and union bosses, you’d think we are sitting outside someone’s house, just waiting to take ‘em down.  No, that isn’t us.  That would be those union members who seem to enjoy threatening the lives of elected officials, or destroy property, etc.

Honestly, I feel quite sorry for people like this guy, and sadly there are way too many like him who believes they are informed, but yet, know little to nothing about the workings of the U.S. Government. Try to educate such people, and you get shouted down with words like “terrorist”, “racist”, “barbarians”, and numerous threats. Great debate there folks. :? But when you have nothing to back up your “facts”, I guess that’s the best we can expect from the uneducated.

I’m exactly what’s wrong with Barack Obama’s America
By Dr. Milton R. Wolf

My father used to tell me that if I worked hard, it would pay off in the long run. How could he have been so blind? Laziness pays off now!

We all know that the power to tax is the power to destroy. So too is the power to regulate. Equally powerful is the reality that rewarded behavior is repeated. After applying these inescapable truths to the analysis of Obamanomics, a collection of policies designed to reward or deter (or even outright banish) certain behaviors – to ordain winners and losers – it’s all clear to me now. The reason Obamanomics has been such a miserable failure is that I failed to follow its cues. I hope America will forgive me.

Read the rest here. You know, it’s pretty sad when your own family thinks you are pretty clueless and incompetent.

Laborious Day, 2011
By Ted Nugent

With 1 in 5 men not working and collecting unemployment benefits and who knows how many other Americans working for less pay than before, Labor Day 2011 should be called Unemployment and Underemployment Day.

The real purpose of Labor Day is a day for the Democratic Party to celebrate. Labor unions and their members are solidly in the Democratic camp. At every Democratic campaign rally, Big Labor is there.

The National teachers union (NEA), one of the nation’s largest unions, is a rock-solid supporter of the Democratic Party, as is every other large union. The NEA cares more about maintaining taxpayer-provided benefits for its members than ensuring our kids get a world-class education. On the NEA’s watch, test scores have plummeted and dropout rates have skyrocketed.

Fire Them ALL!

University of Wisconsin Considering Punishing Doctors Who Issued Sick Notes to Protesters

Some of the doctors at the University of Wisconsin who gave out sick notes to union supporters skipping work to protest face punishment ranging from written reprimands to docked pay and loss of leadership positions.

That’s it? They commit fraud, and they’ll get a slap on the hand? How about loss of job? If they did it once, and are not truly punished, they WILL do it again. What’s to say these are the types who write unneeded prescriptions? Not saying they are, but if they don’t believe the rules apply to them, then what is to stop them from breaking other rules, as serious, even not more so, in the future?

“Personnel action will be based on the specific nature of the offense and the level of the physician’s involvement,” the statement said.

Pfft! Are these the types of physicians we’d put in charge of our healthcare? No integrity? I sure as hell wouldn’t!

The doctors handed out sick notes to union supporters so they could protest on Feb. 19. against Gov. Scott Walker’s budget bill calling for an end to collective bargaining for most state workers. Many were teachers who could be disciplined for missing work without a legitimate excuse.

“Who COULD be disciplined”? How about a very large pink slip? They obviously didn’t give a damn about the students they were hired to teach. None of this is about the kids. It’s about their fat benefits and pension, bill footed by the tax payers! That’s what union thugs do! The extort, lie, cheat, and threaten to get their way. To hell with everyone else!

Labor backers arrested at Tenn. Capitol protest

Troopers have forcibly carried out seven union supporters from the Tennessee Capitol after their protest disrupted a Senate committee hearing.

The seven were among those who stood up during a committee hearing Tuesday and began chants about “union busting” by the Legislature.

Most demonstrators left the hearing room after a half-hour, but a small group tried to lock arms to keep from being removed. Troopers pulled the holdouts out of the room one by one, while lawmakers, lobbyists and other observers looked on. The protesters were arrested and face charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Unlike Wisconsin, the police KNOW what their job is in Tennessee. :D
