Stop The World! I Wanna Get Off!!

Once again, I woke up to a world gone mad. I’m guessing this is going to be the new normal for a while. Insanity has taken over, and we’re all in the asylum!

In recent days, I’ve found out that I’m considered a terrorist. Really? Me? Yep! According to what is being spread to the Army, by the government, I, and many like me, are a danger to the security of the nation. They say it’s the U.S., but I don’t see how that’s possible. Maybe they mean a danger to evil? Hmmm.. At this point in time, the evil is quite wide spread, but wouldn’t being a danger to evil be a good thing? Not if that evil is your own government who thinks you, as an evangelical, is dangerous.   There is something VERY wrong with this scenario.

Obama: ‘I Am Constrained By A System That Our Founders Put In Place’

Ratcheting up pressure for Congress to limit access to guns, President Barack Obama said Wednesday that recent steps by Colorado to tighten its gun laws show “there doesn’t have to be a conflict” between keeping citizens safe and protecting Second Amendment rights to gun ownership.

“I believe there doesn’t have to be a conflict in reconciling these realities,” Obama said in Denver, where he stepped up his call for background checks for all gun purchases and renewed his demand that Congress at least vote on banning assault weapons and limiting access to large-capacity ammunition magazines.

“There doesn’t have to be a conflict between protecting our citizens and protecting our Second Amendment rights,” he said.

If this clown was serious about protecting citizens, he’d secure the damn border! And THEM protecting the citizens has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment, or hunting!

Obama noted that more than 100 days have passed since the shooting rampage that killed 20 first-graders and six adults at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., and reignited the national debate over access to guns.

“Every day that we wait to do something about it even more of our fellow citizens are stolen from our lives by a bullet from a gun. Now the good news is Colorado has already chosen to do something about it,” he said.

Obama also spoke about the people who say the government is coming after their guns.

“You hear some of these quotes: ‘I need a gun to protect myself from the government.’ ‘We can’t do background checks because the government is going to come take my guns away,’ Obama said. “Well, the government is us. These officials are elected by you. They are elected by you. I am elected by you. I am constrained, as they are constrained, by a system that our Founders put in place. It’s a government of and by and for the people.”

In danger of losing congressional momentum on the issue, Obama went to Colorado — which has a deep-rooted hunting tradition and where gun ownership is a cherished right — to use its example and public pressure to prod Congress to act.

I am dumbfounded!  It never ceases to amaze me that there are people who actually voted for this clown!  The knee jerk reaction of the mentally disturbed Democrats will continue to destroy what those self same Founders did to protect US from THEM!  It is all too apparent that way too many in elected office do not understand that document they swore to uphold.

There’s more of his garbage, and the slant of the media, plus video…and teleprompters.  Funny how this video doesn’t show the unenthusiastic response of the LEOs which I saw on the news yesterday.  Hmmmm….

Gun companies are leaving Colorado.   More loss of jobs for the state.  The Outdoor Channel will no longer be filming any of their shows in Colorado.  Less promotion for the state.  Hunters are canceling trips to Colorado.  More loss of jobs.  Excuse me, but do any of these fools realize there are consequences for their idiocy?

None of the tragedies in Colorado, or in Connecticut, or any other state, were caused by law abiding citizens. If there had been a legally, open or concealed, weapon in any of these place where the mass shootings occurred, then more than likely, some of those people would still be alive. But political correctness, and irrational fear, has constrained our citizens from protecting themselves, and their fellow man, woman, and child.

P/H Strikes Again!

I’m sure you’ve noticed I’m VERY lax in my posting lately. I really AM sick! Honest! And lemme tell ya…this seriously sucks. I wanna go home!

Anyway, Publius Huldah has written a rather fascinating piece entitled….

The Balance of Powers Act – How People Are Destroyed For Lack of Knowledge.

Here’s a little snippet:

In order to write intelligently on our Constitution, one needs to have studied and understood the original source writings of our Framers.  No matter what your educational level, if you don’t know what is in our Declaration of Independence and federal Constitution; and if you are not familiar from personal study with The Federalist Papers, The Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions of 1798, Madison’s Report on the Virginia Resolutions (1799-1800), and Madison’s Notes on Nullification (1834), among other original source writings, then you have no business writing about these issues.

But we are flooded with rubbish about the Constitution put out by law professors, history professors, Ph.Ds. of this or that, Heritage Foundation, those with no academic qualifications, and politicians. And none of them know what they are talking about!

Heritage Foundation, too?  sigh…  Well, she is the expert, and she doesn’t tolerate fools.  She’s right.  There are too many talking and teaching about a subject they haven’t even studied in depth.  It’s rather sad that a large majority of our so called representatives aren’t familiar with the Founders, their writings, and the intent.

As I’ve told her time and time again, she almost scares me!  Heh!  The woman is brilliant, and retains the knowledge from everything she has read…photographic memory, don’cha know.  Yep, she is one amazing lady!  As I told Marsha Blackburn the last time I saw her, she really needs to have P/H go to D.C. and school those folks up there that are screwing up the country!!

Accident or Ignorance?

Brennan takes oath on draft Constitution—without Bill of Rights

Oh, dear. This is probably not the symbolism the White House wanted.

Hours after CIA Director John Brennan took the oath of office—behind closed doors, far away from the press, perhaps befitting his status as America’s top spy—the White House took pains to emphasize the symbolism of the ceremony.

“There’s one piece of this that I wanted to note for you,” spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters at their daily briefing. “Director Brennan was sworn in with his hand on an original draft of the Constitution that had George Washington’s personal handwriting and annotations on it, dating from 1787.”

Other than the obvious, my first question would be, if that’s REALLY the original draft of the Constitution, with George Washington’s handwriting, why the **** is that stupid SOB not wearing gloves????? Anyone who knows ANYTHING about dealing with rare, and aged, documents KNOWS you do not handle them with bare hands! It’s called oils, and they get on the docs, and do damage! What asshole let him do that??? They need to be fired….ASAP!

Then, we have the second, and equally important issue!

The Constitution itself went into effect in 1789. But troublemaking blogger Marcy Wheeler points out that what was missing from the Constitution in 1787 is also quite symbolic: The Bill of Rights, which did not officially go into effect until December 1791 after ratification by states. (Caution: Marcy’s post has some strong language.)

That means: No freedom of speech and of the press, no right to bear arms, no Fourth Amendment ban on “unreasonable searches and seizures,” and no right to a jury trial.

How … symbolic?

Symbolic?  Well, in my humble opinion….yes, it is QUITE symbolic.  Very symbolic of Obama and minions!  Proof that either this entire administration is a dumb as a bag of hair, or they don’t believe those ever important GOD GIVEN RIGHTS are applicable for them to uphold.

Just because I’m having family time doesn’t mean I’m not paying attention!

Government Wasting OUR Money

For two years, the Democrats knew it was coming.  Obama knew it was coming.  How did they prepare?  By spending MORE money.  Instead of using common sense, and cutting back, this administration, and it’s lackeys, went on a spending spree with OUR money.  Do you think it was necessary for a bunch of government employees to go on a wine tasting tour, claiming it was a conference?  No, I don’t think so either.  But apparently, someone in a position of power thought it was important, so spent an outrageous sum for this little outing.  Yes, our employees spent $340 MILLION dollars to eat, drink, and be merry on a variety of “conferences”.

The Obamas, together or separately, went on SIXTEEN vacations in 2012 alone!  What was the cost of those vacations?  Well, we know it was quite a tidy sum.  The cost of running Air Force One is nearly $200,000 AN HOUR.  When they take separate flights, going to the same place, it’s an additional 100 grand.  Should this matter?  Well, yes, of course it should!  WE are paying for their fun time.  If the Obamas paid for their own vacations, I really wouldn’t have a problem.  If we had a leader, he, or she, would need a little down time now and then.  He’s not a leader, in any way, shape, or form.  However, since they are on a spending spree with our money, I think we have the DUTY to call them out.  Don’t they have a house in Chicago they could use for down time, instead of renting “palaces” in Hawaii and foreign countries?

Did you take a vacation last year?  Did it run into the millions, if you did?  We didn’t get one.  As a matter of fact, we haven’t taken a vacation since the second year of Obama’s first term.  We couldn’t afford it!  Oh sure, we run down to Texas, but we stay with my daughter.  The cost is gas, and a couple of nights in an inexpensive motel while on the road, and even THAT is more than we can afford these days.

And let’s not forget those over priced, butt ugly clothes the First “Lady” wears!  $5000 for a dress that was worn for a few minutes?  Seriously?  Dear Lord!  Well, at least it wasn’t as ugly as what she usually dons.

Congressional spending on wasteful, non-essentials is just mind boggling.  No where in the Constitution does it authorize spending for anything other than defense, the post office, and post roads.  Promoting ‘science and USEFUL arts’ doesn’t mean paying for Piss Christ!  I also don’t think that our Founders would have thought paying to watch a shrimp on a treadmill would be beneficial to the American people. I also have never seen any reference to giving our enemies money, especially in the sums that we have seen going to countries that would rather see us dead.  I don’t consider that a ‘lawful debt‘!

The waste, and yes, fraud, we have in the federal government, including Medicare and Medicaid, would pay for any cuts necessary, and then some, without jeopardizing the safety and security of our nation.  It would also be a good idea to stop supporting ILLEGAL invaders, through health benefits, education, and food stamps!

It is the Constitutional DUTY of the federal government to secure our borders, which is ‘providing for the general welfare’, yet we see DHS spending money on new ‘uniforms’ instead of hiring agents, and building a fence to prevent invasion.  Instead of working WITH House leaders, Obama spends time, and our money, playing golf with Tiger Woods down in Florida.

The list of wasteful spending is long and varied, from all areas of government.  The budgets of unconstitutional alphabet organizations, mostly with an agenda of destroying the American economy, are extreme.  Thinking Americans are fed up with both parties’ disregard for their duties, violations of their oath of office, and corruption.  It is the thinking American that is paying for it, and there is a limit to what thinking Americans will put up with from the government.  That point is not as far away as many might think.

“Common Defense”

Obama Is Hollowing Out Our Military

We are, after all, facing an $88 billion dollar cut to the increase in spending in our three trillion dollar budget but since it will only affect half the year, the cuts are half. This is Obama chump change. The problem comes in when one considers that half the cuts come from defense.

If we can’t cut 2.4% to the INCREASE in spending, we are hopeless and will eventually go bankrupt.

All those teachers, who are not hired by the federal government, were not fired. The day cares are still up and running. The firemen, who are also not hired by the federal government, continue to work. The federal employees, including the janitors, are still employed as Obama knew they would be when he claimed otherwise in his Friday speech.

The one concern that is legitimate and devastating are the continued cuts to our military.

To date, Obama has cut 14 times what the Sequester cuts and all of a sudden he is concerned? That strains credulity.

Defense cuts continue while Obama continues to cut our nuclear armaments. The START Treaty which demands no cuts from the Russians, is only aimed at using them as an excuse to disarm the United States. He plans another treaty with the Russians to bring the destruction of nuclear armaments to 30% with an end goal of 80%. He also wants to look next at destroying small armaments. These are not weapons we can afford to create again. Once they are gone, they are gone.

President Obama refuses to set up defense shields – he is resetting a our relationship with Russia now that he has “more flexibility.”

Ya know, for a guy who supposedly lectured on the Constitution (no, he was not a professor), it appears that he’s quite unfamiliar with said document.  Right there in the Preamble it states “provides for the common defense“.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

See? Right there!!  Notice that it also says “insure domestic Tranquility“.  I don’t know about you, but I’m not seeing a whole lot of “domestic tranquility“.

So, how is it that Obama thinks gutting the military is a good idea?  Well, he hates the military.  That’s quite obvious.  He’s not too fond of Americans in general.  Allowing criminals free run of the country (border security?  pfft!), putting enemies in place of prominence and power, refusing to put ships in areas of danger to the U.S.  How are these actions ‘providing for the common defense‘?

Apparently, a robotic squirrel is more important to Barack Hussein Obama than the safety and security of the American people.

A Declaration Against Citizens?

DHS built domestic surveillance tech into Predator drones

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has customized its Predator drones, originally built for overseas military operations, to carry out at-home surveillance tasks that have civil libertarians worried: identifying civilians carrying guns and tracking their cell phones, government documents show.

The documents provide more details about the surveillance capabilities of the department’s unmanned Predator B drones, which are primarily used to patrol the United States’ northern and southern borders but have been pressed into service on behalf of a growing number of law enforcement agencies including the FBI, the Secret Service, the Texas Rangers, and local police.

Homeland Security’s specifications for its drones, built by San Diego-based General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, say they “shall be capable of identifying a standing human being at night as likely armed or not,” meaning carrying a shotgun or rifle. They also specify “signals interception” technology that can capture communications in the frequency ranges used by mobile phones, and “direction finding” technology that can identify the locations of mobile devices or two-way radios.

Is this a declaration of “war” of the federal government on the American citizens? Who gave DHS the authority to use such technology on U.S. citizens?  Claiming this will be to track criminals and invaders on the border is all well and good, but these drones can also track law abiding citizens as well.  Publius gives us a simple way of learning the enumerated powers of Congress, and of the POTUS.  Anything past those listed in the Constitution are unlawful.  Giving any of the alphabets the power to spy on us is NOT Constitutional.

Concern about domestic use of drones is growing, with federal legislation introduced last month that would establish legal safeguards, in addition to parallel efforts underway from state and local lawmakers. The Federal Aviation Administration recently said that it will “address privacy-related data collection” by drones.

I think we all recognize the fact that this government is not concerned with privacy issues.  Our liberties have been eroded, bit by bit, over the years, especially with this administration.  The U.S. was founded as a Constitutional Republic, but is no longer Constitutional, nor a Republic.  We are on the verge of complete collapse of what was once the most free nation on the planet.  The idea that my government would spy on me, know whether or not I was carrying a weapon for my own protection, tracking me through my phone, is stepping way beyond the bounds of the powers WE granted by the Constitution.  I’m no expert on the Constitution, but I would think this would be complete violation of the 4th Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.  (emphasis mine)

It’s my opinion that having a drone watch your every move, is a violation of our God given right to be secure in our person.  I don’t remember ever reading in our Constitution that the Federal government had been given the power to spy on our every move.

Although CBP’s unmanned Predator aircraft are commonly called drones, they’re remotely piloted by FAA-licensed operators on the ground. They can fly for up to 20 hours and carry a payload of about 500 lbs.

Why would the FAA need to have a “payload of about 500 lbs”?  Are they planning on using them against American citizens?

We Aren’t Dead?

Obama signs order to begin $85B in spending cuts

President Obama signed an order authorizing the government to begin cutting $85 billion from federal accounts, officially enacting across-the-board spending reductions.

Obama acted Friday, the deadline for the president and Congress to avoid the steep, one-year cuts.

Despite all the doom and gloom, and dire predictions…..I woke up this morning. The sky hadn’t fallen….well, depending on what you call ‘fallen’, cuz there is white stuff coming out of the sky in Memphis…..and there are no children, disabled or otherwise, begging on the street corners.

The president placed blame squarely on Republican lawmakers at a Friday press conference for failing to stop automatic spending cuts that were to begin kicking in later in the day, calling the cuts “dumb, arbitrary.”

Republicans, for their part, said the fault was his, for insisting that increased taxes be part of the resolution

Well, of course it’s the R’s fault! Nothing is EVER his fault, even if it is his idea. Kind of tired of his petulant behavior. I doubt he’ll ever be ‘presidential’ though because he’s a spoiled brat, who should have been turned over someone’s knee a LONG time ago!

The president said the impact of the cuts won’t immediately be felt, but middle class families will begin to “have their lives disrupted in significant ways.” He said that as long as the cuts stay in effect, Americans will know that the economy could have been better had they been averted.

“The pain, though, will be real,” Obama said.

Bubba, the pain has been real since you took office the first time! You’ve destroyed what could have been a recovery with your socialism, and if we ever get anyone with an ounce of sense, or leadership skills, it will be DECADES before we see a true recovery from having to have YOU in the White House, and your minions running the show!

IF we had a Constitutional government, as was the intent, this would never have been an issue. As it is, there are many place where cuts could be made, but alas, we don’t have any common sense in D.C. so the areas where there should be NO cuts, are the very places where there will BE cuts.  They had, what….two years, to avoid all this faux panic?  Instead of doing his job, Obama was way too busy hobnobbing with the Hollyweird crowd, playing golf, and dunking baskets.  Let’s face a few facts here…we have NO president.  We have NO leadership, and those who work FOR us have forgotten the fact, THEY answer to US!  I really think it’s time to remind them.  ALL of them!

P/H Schools Kelsey

I have made mention of Publius Huldah quite often, and linked to many of her papers that pertain the the Constitution. She, I guess you’d call it, testified in front of the Tennessee Senate. The woman is a genius when it comes that important document, and the Federalist Papers. Sadly, many of our elected officials are not as familiar with the Founders and their views as they should be.

It’s unfortunate that they only gave the speakers five minutes each. I’m sure the Senators could have learned quite a bit if they had allowed P/H more time. If you ever had the opportunity to hear her actually give a speech, take it. She is a dear friend, and never ceases to amaze!

If I hadn’t had to go to the doc…again…I would have been in Nashville to watch P/H take the Senators to the wood shed. Heh!!

A Man Has Got To Know His Limitations

Obama considers intervening in gay marriage case

The Obama administration is considering urging the Supreme Court to overturn California’s ban on gay marriage — a move that could have a far-reaching impact on same-sex couples across the country.

The administration has one week to file a friend-of-the-court brief with the justices on the California ban, known as Proposition 8. While an administration brief alone is unlikely to sway the high court, the government’s opinion does carry weight with the justices.

I would suggest that Mr Obama read Article II of the U.S. Constitution.  It’s become quite apparent he is unaware of the limitations that have been placed on the Office of the President.  Interfering in court cases is NOT one of his duties.  Interfering with the laws, passed by the citizens, of a state is also not one of his duties.
